I was raised in Missouri and the story about the savages in New Orleans isn't a hate related subject. The NAACP need to step back and not look at the color of the matter but who were the savages of LA.? Yes they were primarily colored and poor but it's not telling people anything different than what we were shown on the TV and in the news. Instead of being civil human beings they turned into savages and looted and raped innocent people, for what? For survival or just so they would get their faces on the news. All I saw were the ones that don't want to get jobs or an education because they would rather draw our hard earned tax money through wellfare instead of helping themselves they acted like we owed them something other than food and some money to get back on their feet and get a fresh start of things.

Until you have lost everything, you cannot pretend to understand what the majority of these people felt like. Most of the people did not have money to pay for a motel room as the prices were jacked up to $200.00 or more per night. Even if they did have the money, there were not enough "beds for heads." Because most of them have dealt with hurricane scares, many still had to work the nights and days leading to the disaster. Had they not shown up for work, they would have lost their jobs. That would be like you, Marilou Wilson, deciding to stay home because there is a tornado WATCH. You wouldn't have a job to return to. The sad part about this situation is that when you are dealing with people like YOU, the history of Louisiana, and an idiot president, you can't expect for people to not see color and economics. Finally, if you needed to eat and feed yourself and your children, you would LOOT, too. Money doesn't exist when normal, everyday life is complete disrupted by a major disaster. Please save your ignorant concepts for your personal diary that you keep between your mattresses.
