what are good ideas to help each other to stop the hate in this town

Maybe we could start with teaching our children to be more open minded and less judgmental. To not attack someone for having different opinions or beliefs. I'm all for a good debate, but calling someone ignorant for liking God "too much" or Wrong for not liking God enough is breeding hate. Maybe they can learn to not call people hurtful names just because they are a different color or speak a different language. I think it's important to respect all people, because they are just trying to figure out life and get by like anyone else.

People form hate from frustration most times. People struggle everyday to find a job, a place to live, or enough food and clothes to care for their family.I know personally I get angry over the way people get an attitude towards me just because I choose to dress differently than most, and I don't mean sagging pants either.Just because someone dresses differently or speaks a different language or has a different skin color it doesn't make them bad. And on the flip side just because you are different don't assume people do not like you, so don't cope an attitude over it.

People in this area are struggling more now than ever before and you should and can expect attitude. Those who have lived in and around here all their lives are being pushed out by the Mexicans and of course this is going to cause trouble. No jobs, not enough food what do you expect? I am pissed at the whole situation. I have attitude and it will worsen as long as some groups are being given everything on a silver platter and my family that's been here for over 125 years is treated like trash.

Mexicans are hard workers. Most of the people who live in this area will not work 8 hrs a day on a farm. You can depend on Mexicans. Also, Mexicans go where the work is. So learn from them and move somewhere else where you can find a job. You are probably treated like trash because you act like it.

First, if you send all of them back, our American economy will no longer exist. There are like 12 million illegals alone in the U.S. and are all holding the jobs that many of us don't want to do, the back breaking labor that you are probably too lazy to do. Plus, if they leave and the jobs become vacant, soon after the jobs will follow them. duh!!!
Another thing, at least they are not sitting around getting high and drunk sleeping with everyone while collecting a welfare check and hundreds of dollars in food stamps like others we know.....?
They teach their children to respect others...unlike others who think they run the world and probably can't even spell WORLD or find themselves on a map.

from the last few comments i just read, it seems to me it would just be a waste of time and energy to try to get people to stop hating.
but, just for those that are singing the praises of the mexicans,there are mexicans in this town that draw welfare and food stamps.i have seen them going in as i pass by the food stamp office on my way to wal-mart.there are those that drink and do drugs,their arrests have been printed in the newspaper.
not all of them will do back-breaking,nasty jobs that others won't do.
and yes some of them are arrogant,a**holes who think they are better then others.
but, then again the same can be said for all races.they is both good and bad in all races. the mexicans are no better and no worse then the rest of us.

and for the one that made the comment that if the maxicans all went home the american economy would be in trouble,there are several that work here that have families that are still in mexico.most of the money they make each week is sent home to those families.that's why there are several mexicans guys that live in one house.they share all the bills so they have the money to do that.

For someone that says they want everyone to stop hating, you sure have plenty of negative comments. And YES the economy would collapse because most American's are lazy and don't want to work, so those jobswould remain empty until they relocate it to Mexico. It's funny that you see hispanics coming out of the welfare office, I drive by there everyday and have never seen one, I do though see many African Americans coming out, have they not adapted to this country yet? I can see, as our history repeats itself, that ethnic succession is upon the hispanics.(read up if you don't know what that is) I can see where they could need help since they are new here, what's everyone else's problem? It's funny that they so called work for pennies, yet they have enough money to buy new trucks(from our dealers) buy food, gas, homes (from us putting back into our economy) and still send some home. I think we are a spoiled culture and could take some pointers from them. At least they are not leaving their families to be on welfare for the rest of their lives like the Maury "Baby Daddy's" do.

all i was saying is that no race is as perfect as you think the mexicans are.there is good and bad in all races.
and since you are so convinced that if the mexicans go back to mexico this country would fall apart,then just how did we survive before they came here?

No they are not treated like trash because they or I act like it. They are treated like trash because the Mexicans have taken over. The Mexicans need to leave not me. When they do things will be normal again for everyone. We were raised on a farm and had to work 16 hour days so I don't need to be told what work has to be done on a farm or the hours involved.

Most of what your saying is 100% true....I know a guy that was addicted to meth and he said all of the MX business are running it out their back doors....that they make more money with the drugs than the business. They are hard workers i do agree with that but I don't think they should be allowed to receive welfare or food stamps, or new businesses should not get to run tax free, if they don't work they shouldn't eat, along with the rest

Yes they send their money back home and can because they live off of us and what we pay in taxes. They spend very little cash here actually because if you go to the stores and watch they use vouchers and food stamps which just allows them to save what they did manage to make then they send it back home. How is that helping the economy here. Several live together to save all they can in actual cash to be sent home and guess what....we are paying their rent. They really do not have to work to live here. They get food, housing and medical care. All on us!

What are you talking about? They were here before us and we have used them ever since, especially during wartime. Read your history books. And no I don't think they are perfect, but with all that the afircan americans do, I don't hear anyone saying send them back to africa. Plus, I'd rather see someone standing around looking than sitting on the street corners selling drugs where my kids can't go around the block by themselves.

Funny I know many of them and work around them and have never seen any with vouchers or food stamps. The ones I see have a paycheck. Those who get assistance have to have a SS# so that makes them eligible regardless. We pay more for the blacks on welfare than the hispanics, too scared to confront that truth?

really?then explain this. i have two friends that have been dating hispanics for years and also have several friends that are hispanics,both men and women.what i have learned from all of them is that some of the ones that have jobs send their wives to the food stamp office to get on the system because even tho they are married the wife keeps her maiden name when they get married in mexico.so,all she has to do is claim that she is not married with two or three kids and there's no problem getting f.s. stamps,medical assistance,etc. there's really no way to prove whether they are married or not because that info is not in the system.
some of the ones here aren't using their real names.the way they do this is mexican one comes here with legal papers,etc. and works for a couple of years.he then goes back to mexico and sells his papers and info to mexican two who comes here to a different state works for afew years and does the same thing that mexican one does when he goes back home.
now, you can question this all you want but i have heard this from more then one mexican.so,either they are lying to me or the ones you work with aren't telling the family secrets.
and out of curiousity, how many people do you know that run around telling everyone that they are on food stamps?

really? i have lived in mayfield for about thirty years and when i first moved here i didn't see any hispanics. so,where were they hiding?

History dumbass. They occupied the America's before we came from the European countries. We faught and killed to move them until the last treaty gave them mexico. And yes they may not have been as populous as they are now, but who are you to say who can and can't live here? You can always move.
