Anyone have any memories of old kingsville. Back when southgate mall was a mall, when it had wal mart, nickelodeon arcade when it was big, godfathers pizza, King bowl, hardees restaurant right in front where tiwan is now. Casa de tacos was a taco cabana. the old heb which actually had a sit down deli, and a reely cool glass roof over the refrigerated section. Super S. Cine I & II, mr v's putt putt, peter piper pizza, anyone have any old pictures of older kingsville they could share, maybe we can start a facebook page of old kingsville.

i'm not saying i'm old, but i remember the h-e-b before the h-e-b with the deli...and i recall there was a coupon store where you could redeem stamps that were given to you at this h-e-b, and get items...very much like that episode of the brady bunch where the kids all wanted different things with the collection of their grocery store stamps...mike and carol suggested they get something the whole family could enjoy, which was a t.v. or something to that effect. i also remember as a small, small child, a dairy queen where the luau sits. when the dairy queen was torn down, they opened up gatsbys which is now the luau. i also remember el pastel restaurant which is where taco hell is now. i remember when the texas ranch was nolans steak house, i remember the round table restaurant at that little plaza by sirloin, and of course i fondly remember bonanza and mr gattis pizza where big house bbq sits, i remember when that place was the sundowners...i could go on but, i wont.

I remember when the H.E.B. produce section was to the far back right hand side of the building. All the produce back there then followed with some fresh plants that were in front of a window facing Kings Street. I used to love looking down that window.

Border Tire used to be where CVS is now and remember when our current walmart used to be nothing but open land. Actually that whole area used to be nothing but land including where the highschool softball field, lowes, that storage place, Eddie Yaklins, Chiles, Whataburger. Wow our little Kingsville has grown!

the last movie i saw at cine 1 & II was selena, i think....i remember burger chef and their go cart that i sooooo wanted. i remember the hardees someone mentioned earlier but i remember it started out as a mrs winners (kinda like a grandy's) and there also was a liquor store at the same location except it didnt last cause of course it didnt look right for a liquor store to be across from hm king....i also remember ktown had 2 winns stores one where cbc is and the other where family dollar is...i remember super d which became super s which then moved to where rax/squirrelys is...and i remember that at that same place is where krogers used to be. i recall that ez pawn on 14th used to be a bbq place and a diner way before that...mind you, i am not old. i remember the original wendy's where china bear is now, and king corner mart was just an old exxon gas station. last but not least, im trying to remember exactly where plantation south was....it was a two story white house that was a restaurant then a realty place...i think its where whataburger and chilis are now.

How about the Tic Tack? on the corner of Ceaser and 6th, and Reese Motel also on the corner of Ceaser and 6th. The Old Apple House on the corner of 6th and Richard. The Ice House on the corner of Lee and 6th.

I know the old grey Hound buses would make pick ups and drop people off at the corner of 14th and King, where Walgreen's is. It used to be a corner convenient store. I remember Super S, where Rax is now, or that Dollae store. Peter Piper Pizza next to it. The old "mall".(pothole parkinglot). Circle K ( I think), across the street from where Young's pizza is now.

When the Christmas parades started at the old Memorial and ended at the courthouse. They used to be short and sweet.
