This has nothing to do with Connie. And for your information she is highly qualified that is why she is in that position! She has gotten her training, classes, test, certification, and degree in that area. And i don't see how what she looks like makes her any less of a good administrator. Connie is a beautiful person inside and out and I'm sad that you can't see that about her. She might have pimples but who doesn't in this world. She might not wear make up but what's it to you? If that's her personal choice that's her deal. And when your a good administrator of course you will look a little rundown/in need of sleepsleep because it takes a lot out of you to run a school properly. I don't know why you are bashing her but remember she is a new administrator and you have to give people chances before criticizing them. Let her do her job for at least a year before you get an opinion on her. Good day and god bless you all.

Sure that's y we are ranked so far behind other states because people like u think its good enough but it's never enough there is to many Stupid people having kids and not enough Smart people the kids are the future and we have no one to blame but ourselves that's y Mexico passed us on the world rankings which is pathetic. It's pathetic that we aren't on top anyway because of the resources we have in this country. Take ur thumbs out of ur a$$es and open ur eyes.

This is about the reassignments. Great that Grace Ruiz is not on a campus but demoting her to coordinator is not enough she needs to go. Mireles is too scared but Hernandez will do it.
Need more changes to get out of AU. Go for it Mr. Blaha the community has your back. Our students depend on your leadership.

We need tougher teachers and principals. Fix the discipline problems and the scores will go up. Maybe if KISD would stop being the lowest teacher paid school district in South Texas, we could attract some great teachers and leaders to come and run this district. To many teachers are coming and going. Leaving for better pay. There is some positives in the district like our football team being the champs and are still in the playoffs. BUT WATCH.... Coach Wilcox will be gone by January, for a better paying job up north. Three year here, and then gone. Just like Hrncir and the one before him. Only one that wanted to stay was Whitaker and KISD ran him off. Look at him and Port Lavaca now!! He made Port Lavaca into the new Calallen! If we can keep these positive teachers and leaders, KINGSVILLE could be awesome in every aspect of education and school.

You say fix the discipline problems but your probably one of those kind of parents that don't discipline your own kids. Why should it take teacher or administrators to teach your kids how to act when they are away from your titty? If parents disciplined their own kids, taught them how to act in public or out of your eye sight then schools would not have to focus on disciplining due to the kid creating disturbances during school hours. I still believe that when a child gets out of line it's our job to redirect them. I still believe in the school putting that paddle to the butt if the kid gets out of line also. There are not enough parents who enforce rules just look around you when your in public I see so many spoiled brats and weak parents giving in easy when thier kid wants something or is crying cause they can't have

This is true to a point. Teacher are good teachers but since parents don't want there kids to be told anything even
that makes the teacher weak. No it's not the teacher it's the child being disrespectful cause his like that with the parent also. And teachers do need to get paid more, instead they bring these consulters that are getting payed alot of money to tell teachers how to run there class room when they either never taught or taught elementary students and never taught high school students. The two are not the same. But district spends alot alot of money on these people who don't even know our kids like our teachers who spend all this time with the students. So if parents want there child to learn email ur school board and tell them give the teacher a raise and get rid those over paid consulters

Changes coming involve teachers. Like Dr. Ruiz who was removed and demoted for lack of results; teachers will be reassigned for the same reason. Whatever it takes to get out of AU.

So do you think teachers will take that? There may be a few that will just make sure their new assigned school stays AU. Worries me.

Teachers do not want the school to be AU. That only means more work for them. Some of u people have no clue what comes behind a school being AU. It means more paper work for the teacher with less time in class instruction. And it's not the teachers fault for AU it's the student not going to school, parent coming to take them out of school they don't want to be in class. It may be that the student stays up all night then can't pay attention in class or the parent not sending student to school. People is our fault as a parent a community as adults. So why blame the teacher they are at work and they are treated as data clerks instead of teachers. Yea that's why teachers get paid, but to teacher not to baby sit or raise ur kids they are there to instruct to teach. So quit blaming others take responsibility where it lays on the parents.

She was removed from her campus because of poor performance. She was demoted from principal to coordinator. All you need is a bachelors to be a coordinator. They moved her to central to keep her away from a campus.
And what

So what is the holdup? If moving teachers will help get us out of AU, what is admin waiting for? We are 3 months into the year already.
Is admin going to wait until a month before testing to do these moves? Makes no sense at all.

Surrounding schools cherry pick students from KISD leaving behind the ones that they don't want. Why don't they want them? You figure it out.
