My brothers friend went to the e.r. recently, he was complaing of being fatigued, and worn out. They told him nothing was wrong with him,and they made himgo home. that same night he died in his sleep. he was in his forties, left many children behind without a father, how sad is that? I warn all those who have emergencies to go to corpus, i am a nurse, i should know. kingsville hospital is not where you should go, there is no reason for young people to die.Make the right choice, go to corpus. Please, you been warned. Kingsville hospital does not have a real e.r.It is basically a minor emergency room. they dont have the time, or advanced technology corpus has, better doctors means better professional care. i myself had a near miss of death about six and a half years ago. if it hadnt been that i went to e.r. in corpus, i might have died due to neglect and unprofessionalism there in kingsville e.r...I repeat, do not go to e.r. kingsville if u have a life threatning illness/situation.

I can vouch that this hospital is very poorly staffed and the administration sucks. They don't care about their employees and they over work them until they end up making mistakes. They don't want to pay you for the extra effort because they have no money. over half the people that go to that hospital don't even pay their medical bills...its basically free care. Not to mention patients try to sabbatoge the employees into getting fired. Maybe if they showed a little appreciation to the staff that they do have then the staff would work genuinely. But instead its all about the "numbers". The gossip is unbelievable and nurses along with other staff are so tired from being worked into the ground that they are giving poor quality care...but this is not just in kleberg.even the hospitals in cc are short staffed and over worked. There lies a deeper rooted problem...like the economy. You think care quality is bad now...if this country keeps on going down this Obama care path then you won't even be able to chose which Dr you want to treat you or which hospital you want to go to because it will all be chosen for you. In a ten bed er room with roughly 4 nurses on a shift and a town full of patients who show up time and time again with nothing really wrong with them its hard to decifer which ones are in need of emergency care. and maybe if people started paying the ridiculous hospital fees they could afford to pay better harder working employees. So it goes both ways...

I agree completely, what do you think could be done in this town to improve it?
Fund raising benefits for overtime pay? It is very sad and moral has dropped at this hospital over the years and lost some crucial employees. When I talk to people about 'obamination' care, I use this hospital as an example of what's to come nation wide. I however, don't believe corpus is this bad, I have received good care from there. But I am not an employee so I can't comment on that end.

I would be willing to help with a fund raiser. People of this town should too. We should be more involved in issues that directly effect us. As a town, we should take pride in our jobs, be it big or small. It's already hard enough to keep small businesses turning. If this hospital doesn't turn around.. we all know what could happen. Then thousands of people and families would suffer, along with medical care for our small town.

well to get anything like that started someone would have to talk to administration to get it all set up.but I know that soon they are going to build an entire new ER, the icu unit has already been renovated, and fund raising or charity benefit's would be crucial. I'm just not sure how one would go about doing it.

We dont need to talk to the administration right away, its our free will to make the fundraisers ourselves, get peope to host meetings at a public place, then have an open forum to discuss what will be sold, get a secretary for the money being raised, open an account, then have weekly meetings regarding fundraisers, updates. When the time is right, talk to administration, have a meeting with them, and a specific date, present the money in the form of check with the community being invited with music, food, prizes, it can very well be something revolutionary for our hospital, we need to get together as a community for our childrens future, we cannot depend on our community officials, leaders, etc. We as citizens have the the say so, we tell them what to do, thats why we elect them, to be our representatives, if they dont want to, they can resign, or quit. Kingsville needs a big change, for the better, and its going to take the citizens of kingsvie to do it.

Hospital fundraiser Good idea Why Not We should help improve our own medical facilities so that we can have the best staffing and technology right here in Kingsville We should not have to depend on Corpus Christ so much for medical care.

The old Hospital on Ceaser is going to be torn down soon. It would even be nice to rebuild a second hospital there again. to supplement the over flow of our current hospital sometimes the hospital get full to capacity and there are no rooms available so force doctors to release their patients prematurely cause the need the bad space.
