If your looking for a new sit down experience in Kingston come to the Market Street Bistro tomorrow night... Where the fountain used to be right next to Food City in Ladd Landing... The Bistro is a cozy sit down Italian themed restaurant prepared by a chef straight from the biggest hotels New York like the Waldorf Astoria where they hold the Oscars, Grammy's, and cater for the UN... Tell all your friends to come down...

For a limited time we have Bud Light Platinum in the bottle. Best beer selection in Roane County, waiting on license for wine and liquor sorry for the inconvenience.

European Deep Dish pizza with Caesar salad
Sandwiches, flat breat, wraps
French dip sandwich is great.

Worth a Friday or Saturday night dinner with the family out.

Good food, but he gave me a job as a server just to lay me off 2 weeks later because we weren't busy enough... I just think it's a pretty rotten thing to do so when I go get my check I will not be going to the market street bistro again...

Quite a good bit of drama here. Especially with the last post by the owner being erased.

This entire thread is nothing but a set up (spam) in order to try and drum up business in a lousy location with a very limited customer base.
You can't make a living off of the limited Ladd's Landing crowd.

Wonder what will be in there next?

My family and I had dinner at the new Market Street Bistro tonight. The food was excellent! I had the Tuscan salad, everything was so fresh. My husband loves a good French dip and said this one is by far the best one he has had. They have a few great choices for kids, they had the BBQ meatballs and enjoyed them. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience, and will be back for the great food and excellent service!

we stopped in last monday evening.
the pizza had a good deep dish crust that wasn't thick and heavy.
and the ingredients were fresh and tasty.
the bruschetta had good thick slices of both tomato and mozzarella.

prices were reasonable.

we're both vegetarians, so finding a decent place locally where you can have a good meal is going to nice.
we'll go back.

my family will not be going back. aside from the high menu prices including sandwiches that come with none other than plain, blan potato chips for $8, the dayshift waitresses come across as rude and overly flirtatious with married men. sorry but this is a small town, with big values. that is unacceptable. keep ur hands off my husband and the winks and silly comments arent amusing. even my husband said he didnt want "bar" waitressess, or he would have went to a bar. smh. dont support a place like this in roane county. we are too classy for a trash restaurant like this.

haha. is that what he told you? he told me it was bc u were late. then he fired me for not showing up for my shift when it was covered by emily and i gave 2 week notice. i wont send any business there. he made me wait over night wondering if i had a job with 3 babies at home. word of mouth will make or break. food is okay but roy isnt a sensational cook. prices too high too. terrible location. ive talked to people who posted not so positive reviews on fb page and they erase those so all public see is positive ones.

also, local band fairview union members, chad and kelly came in and ate and waited longer to speak with owner, roy, about performing at grand opening. roy smiled and took their card showing interest until they walked out the door and he said he wouldnt be calling them. two faced as are his "helpers". roane county stands up for their own. we dont need someone from fountain city, coming in with knoxville servers and treating all roane county emplyees like crap and firing them for no reason. roane county needs jobs, we dont need a place like this. read this comment before they erase it....

i too will not be returning. my husband and i pulled up only to see waitresses sitting outside smoking and we never saw either of yhem wash their hands before getting our drinks. we then watched closer and noticed them handling money and serving food without washing hands in between. i worked for health department for several years and all of this is unacceptable as is one of the servers, with very long hair, not pulling her hair up. i will be calling health department, and will not be back.

wow. i was hoping this to be a better place. i was approached by a nice lady who appeared to be a server week or so ago, in the parking lot of food city, who gave me a menu. i have been by a couple of times, and have not seen her there so did not stop. wonder if its one of the two who posted they were fired. she really marketed for them well. what were they thinking?

jamiesmommy, it probably was. i know her well. she was an amazing server at caney creek marina. apparently, she gave notice of needing off and covered her shift but they let her go bc she was in court and cldnt come in that day anyway. i was going to set up a reservation for a baby shower but when she told me about this, i am obviously not going to. who are these people thinking they are going to come into roane county and try to rule the roost? i know im spreading the word. karma is a b&@@h.

Arrogant yankee carpetbagger + Half wit round heeled local = Funny online soap opera.

Sounds like the guy should have just opened another fast food franchise. Probably too late to get in on the new Bojangles in Mid Town.

Good people great food. Ignore the usual topix blather and go check it out yourself. I've eaten there four times since it opened and I love it.
