I wonder what's going on at Midway High School. They lost 5 teachers. That's quite a bit for small school. Does anyone have any insight?

Things are not good with Midway High School. Morale is continuing to go down. I have one child yet to go through. Maybe the little person in charge won't be here too much longer.

Midway lost a lot of great teachers this year. What a shame to give one person so much power to effect so many lives.

I've been in the Midway Community a long time, and the word is that the principal had his Harriman stuff in his office for decor. Like his helmets, and stuff. It's funny because someone broke into his office and stole his helmet, leaving money and other valuables just to make a point. That instance should reveal the kind of leadership that is at Midway. It's funny because not long after that, he installed a several thousand dollar security system, just because he was bitter. Everyone knows that response time to Midway is pretty SLOW. He little dude, just don't pretend you are in Harriman, and you'll be o.k.!!!!!!!

The teachers that got let go were not tenured. Mason had nothing to do with that. Idiots need to understand something before they go running their mouths about something they don't understand.

Can't say as that I have ran into many people who care for Scott Mason, and were none to happy about the "maniac" mascot. I guess he thinks that's what we all are.

So, is the rumor true that they may move Mason to Oliver Springs? Hopefully, this is a real possibility.

Coach Ruffner, and Coach Moser both were name "Coach of the Year," by the district that Midway belongs to. They never were congratulated, or the announcement was never made, or the sign out front of the school never congratulated them. Linda Galyon made the announcement in the cafeteria because they were not acknowledged at all. The students all applauded, and this was the first that they had heard of it. Mason was told many times that the right thing to do was to announce it. Why not! Jealous?

Mason needs to leave before he runs the school into the ground. Man, if he only knew what people thought of him there! His heart bleeds blue...GO BACK HOME, WITH YOUR TWO LITTLE TATERS!

Yes. Midway is a great place to send your children, to elementary and middle school at least.

I've heard math is very hard to pass at MHS. Do any of you have any tips on passing math? I'm a little concerned since I will have three going there.

Best i can remember he has been at MHS for 3 years and the school has been named a top 100 school in America for the last 2 years! We had better be glad this man is here....sorry for the people above but it seems as though the above posts were made by the people that lost their job at the school. If not, I'll bet you people don't even have a job! Once again, we had better be thankful we have him.....cause if I were him I wouldn't want to be the principal here having to deal you all of you backward idiots!
p.s. "just cause he ain't from here don't mean he can't be a good principal".....come on people...he graduated from another high school 30 years ago...did you even graduate?? Your post TRUE GREEN says you are from Knoxville!!!!!Are you true green or are you a hypocrite???

I don't normally post on here, but do try to read the news from 37763, since my family lives in this community. SOR4life, why do you write, "cause if I were him I wouldn't want to be the principal here having to deal you all of you backward idiots!" I find that curious because the other posts that wrote, "idiots have to understand something..." I think this speaks volumes. By the way, almost all of the Midway community get their internet service through a Knoxville provider. Mr. Mason probably did some positive things for the school, but don't you think that Tony Clower, who was there for so many years before deserves some credit too? Know that I don't need to be called an "idiot," because I'm taking up for our people at Midway. Please just stop calling Midway people idiots.

I didn't mean to start a firestorm here about Midway. I was just curious about why they lost, so many teachers. Budget? Or what? After checking around about the responses to my post, much of these posts are true. Still not sure what's going on at Midway, but anyway. I'm satisfied with the responses, checking, that I have done. So, please end the posts.
