Cheatham County has no Fire Service.
Officials fail to understand how most local governments fund their Emergency Services like fire and police. A Fire Tax is a property Tax and just another excuse to try to pretend not to raise the general property tax. Each little fire department in Cheatham County has its own "playhouse." It is time to look at the obvious solution- Either fund the County Fire Plan from the General Fund or go on doing nothing like the County has done for so many years.

When has Cheatham County ever provided Fire Service? All of the Fire Departments get Federal and County Funds and most of the residents pay sales tax which is funnelled to the Towns and County- So Why does the County continue to avoid providing necessary services like Fire?
