Someone else mentioned in another post about men wearing ball caps while dining in Kingsport restaurants. That bothers me, too. The difference between me and the other commenter is I'm not a sissy. From now on when I'm out with my lady trying to enjoy a meal and I see one of them overgrown teenage acting men, I'm going to personally remove their ball cap. I'm 6'4" former Marine and I kick ass. If you don't have any manners, I WILL be glad to teach you some. You've had your warning, kiddies.

i dont know, man. i dont think its that big of a deal. but if it bothers you, well thats you i guess. its more of a behavior thing for me when it comes to anything.

a ball cap wouldnt set me off. but an azzhole with a poor attitude would- ball cap or not.

and i guess it would also depend on the restaurant. what are we talking about here? cheddars? thats like goin to hooters to me and i dont see a ball cap being a big deal there. maybe an upscale restaurant it would be inappropriate but even at one here in nashville i see country stars wearing them to the table at places like j alexanders or one of the hot spots on second ave. or even out in brentwood.

i think it depends who you are sometimes.
are you gonna whip George Jones butt for wearing one to the table??
i dont know, man.

i think alot of guys wear ball caps for different reasons. maybe many you have seen some wear caps that were of a certain nature tht you didnt really like.

living in nashville people wear ballcaps alot. some are hiding a ball spot. some are sporting vanderbilt the local college.

some are just wearing the ball cap they just logged 10 hours at work in-yuck
some are wearing them gangsta style. but its the city and its kind of accepted like waering your pants at your ankles-which i really hate.

so, i dont know about the ball cap issue. im kinda on the fence on this one. please tell us more about your views on this and why. scenarios are good and help to show your views.

thanks!

also in the city people wear their burkhas and head wraps and so forth.

its more the person and their behavior to me than what they wear though i might not like what they wear.

A gentleman removes his hat while dining. Leave yours on, if you want to. It just shows that your upbringing was lacking in social graces.

You probably don't remove your hat for the national anthem, either.

No big deal.

35 minutes ago I was in Cheddars where I took on a table of 3 ill mannered goofs wearing ball caps. I smacked the caps off the heads of 2 of them. The 3rd one started crying and threw his hat away. All three actually cried. Nobody that worked at Cheddars complained. I paid my bill, left a generous tip and I calmly walked to my truck and slowly drove off. If you don't like it, keep wearing ball caps in restaurants and we'll see what happens

You sound like a bitch. Maybe you're overcompensating for something. Just saying. Touch my boyfriend and I won't hesitate to punch you in the nuts and beat the shit out of you while you're down :)

simple man. its a stretch to say that someone doesnt take their hat off when the national anthem is being played because styles allow many to think wearing a ball cap is ok at a restaurant.

thats just pig headed on your part. i can understand if you have a standard that says its good manners to remove your hat thats one thing but to say it means someone also doesnt take their hat off ofr the national anthem is wrong.

you dont want to be judged for something that you dont do. you should know its not good manners to put words in peoples mouths or to say they do theings they dont.

its examples like yours that provide how one sided the manners and standards are for people like you. its really why we donjt have more focus on good manners. because you dont have any aside from taking your hat off at dinner someplace.

you blew the whole example you culd have set but you had to disparage someone by making up a scenario that yo dont even know exists with that person.

hypocriite!

Iron knuckles you probably sized up some kids smaller than you. big man you are.

and if you think that smacking some caps off anyone at a restaurant and holding them to your standard is appropriate well then you really dont have manners. you pick and choose them to start fights. i suggest counseling.

i wonder if you go to bars and look for drunks to beat up so you can say they didnt show good manners for geting drunk?

iron knuckles if you are so big and so bad, why do you have to bully people? you must be lacking in something to react to ball caps so violently.

if the restaurant has a no ball cap policy that should be the rule. but if not, i dont think its your right to enforce what you think oughta be.

check into anger managemnt classes. i think it will help you. you seem only too ready to flex your anger.

what if tommorrow you dont like the color red?
geez we all better look out.

sorry man but you kinda come off as unstable after that last post.

you made some kids cry did you? wow.

hope you get help soon.

thanks for some honest perspective, lady! its lacking in this post.

better not let your husband meet iron knuckles or there will be a fight it sounds like. unless of course your husband is bigger and badder than iron knuckles. i suspect thats how it goes with iron knuckles. he would step to if he thinks he can take you but not if he thinks he will get owned. so its not really about the standard of no ballcaps with iron knuckles. its about who he can push around.

man, you think inferiority complexes would be fewer these days but they persist anyway...

iron knuckels,

i also wanted to point out that in this era of digital media, you have confessed to what amounts to assault and battery on those three kids.

these kind of online admissions can come back on you in the form of criminal charges. not a smart move. unless you are shooting for a rap sheet. if so, then ok.

its just what a lawyer would tell you.

you would also then probably end up on dumb crook news posts all over the internet. it happens all the time, people putting their criminal exploits in print online.

and to examine the dynamics further, KPT probably needs all the business it can generate at places like cheddars.

they probably dont want to discourage ball cap wearers from stopping by and spending their money.

if they dont wish to have ball caps in their establishment then they should post that and enforce it.

so, maybe you should lighten up a bit and ask yourself, "why am i, iron knuckels, so willing to have a hissy fit over ball caps at cheddars?"

maybe those steriods arent helping either.

in any case you are a big fish in a small pond, it sounds like.

dont let it go to your head.

life is worth so much more than whatever trip you are on at the moment.

really.

i also wanted to ask if Cheddars has a city league softball team?
i hope if they wear ballcaps that they dont get beat up by iron nuckles in the store after celebrating a victory.
what a shame that would be....

you know that is considered assault you keyboard warrior. you do it to the wrong person and you'll get a few holes shot into ya. i wear ball caps all the time in restaurants because for (1) a ball cap looks better than my bald head. and (2) there aren't any high class restaurants in kingsport anyways.

p.s. what do you think would make a bigger scene in a restaurant somebody eating and wearing a ball cap or you trying to act tough in front of your boyfriend by taking somebody's hat off. and then getting your ass beat out the door.
