Just saw in the newspaper (Kingsport TimesNews) that they are having a race this Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009. If this is really happening, then fantastic!!

I hope that everyone has been informed that racing will happen this Sat. November 7th, 2009 !!!

Gates open at 12 noon; qualifying at 1pm and racing starts at 2pm.

I, for one, will be there.

Thanks to all who supported this race!! It was a great success with a huge crowd! And WOW, what a race,.03 margin of victory. Beautification work has continued after the race so hopefully that's a sign of future racing at Kingsport Speedway! We are looking forward to hearing of race dates to be decided for 2010!

It was nice to see the house packed again at Kingsport Speedway.In other old track news, it was announced today that North Wilkesboro Speedway will host racing in the 2010 season with ASA and USAR.

What else has been done at the track? I really liked the red walls. A little bit more paint and some pressure washing and that place would look brand new.There's a highlight vid from last weekends race @ http://www.race22.com/,check out it out.

There has been more clean-up around the grounds and work on the backstretch concessions.

More specific...a new roof is going on the backstretch concessions, more as it develops.

This is good news Elvis because I doubt we're gonna see all this work being done for nothing. 2010 could be the year we've been waiting for.

DAMN, I totally missed it. I so meant to travel 90miles to see this race happen. I use to live back in behind the track to. Right on a steep turn to the left where(not sure if still there) ut 2 trailers sat right beside another. I will have to stay more updated on this. Cant wait for another.
