What is going on with the band director at DB. I hear kids a lot of kids are quiting because of him.

I heard he had an affair with some young thing that has upset some of the kids, but I am not sure.

he cheated on his wife. the woman he is now supposedly engaged with is in her 20's and works within the band program

really?! So is the school system doing anything about it? Are they engaged? Already?

If there were any *real* christians in the school system they would have already canned this no good slime ball when the rumors first started flying. At least we have some upstanding band students that are recognizing him for what he is, they quit band just to show that they are morally opposed to such deviant behavior. Imagine it, they are sacrificing their participation in an extremely fun organization, they are sacrificing their musical education and their future as potential career musicians, just to show they don't approve of another person's immorality. Good for them.

k look. i dont think what he did was right, but im getting a scholarship through band and im not going to drop out of band because of his affair. yes, it was wrong. i have lost all of my respect for him. but that does not mean i am going to drop out of a program i love and have devoted over 3000 hours to in four years. and no he is not getting fired and yes he is engaged.

I heard she got fired from her job in Kingsport, she worked somewhere in the city government. And not just with the school. can anyone confirm?

well. she was working with us for marching season. and now i see her all the time in the band room. as to where she is employed, i dont know.
