has anyone every had trouble with dcs?i'm dealing with them and all i get is a lot of lies from them.they put words in your mouth that you didn't say.who is the judge going to believe (them)they take your kids then get them to say what they won't them to.and you don't have a change.if you make one mistake'they hold it over your head.you try to do everything they tell you to do but they always find something else.i think that they just won't to keep getting there pay check it not about the kids

DCS workers have one of the hardest jobs there is.... They use removal of children as a complete last resort...Children are NOT removed from there homes unless there is an immanent safety risk such as drug use, neglect, abuse. In most cases services are provided to help the family.... If you aren't doing what you are asked to do to get your children back then that is your own fault... Don't go blaming DCS ... There job is to look out for the safety of kids

That is the biggest lie I have ever heard. My best friend used to get beaten on a regular basis by her stepdad for no good reason, and DCS never once made an effort to get her out of her situation after MULTIPLE reports from several people. My parents used to do foster care, and I saw many instances (as did my parents) where DCS removed children from their home and SEPARATED them for petty things such as false reports of drug abuse, where DHS is just being nosy, among other things. Now you tell me, which is worse? They are not ALL good, honest people like you portray them to be. Sorry, but that is a load of crap.

As a foster parent, I've (knock on wood) never had a problem with DCS. Nasty, I don't know what your situation is, and there are some instances where kids are taken rather frivilously, but if you do what they told you to on your perm plan you will get you kid(s) back. There's a lot to go through to legally terminate a parents rights. As far as the DCS staff just being there to get a pay check, that's the case for some in any profession unfortunately, and some areas are notoriously worse than others; but I don't think that's standard fair there. One of my boy's case worker quit last week because of the stress level of the job and because she said she was seeing more of other people's kids than her own. It's a tough job, sometimes with long hours, and often times dealing with bad people too.

Heather at DCS is a bitch. She's rude and can't control her mouth. I hope no one has ever had to work with her!

OMG! Tell me about it! That woman, Heather, is one of the most hateful, nasty know it alls that I've ever saw. She actually called my child a brat! I wanted to hit her, but I decided that I wouldn't lower myself down to her level. What is a horrible person like her doing at DCS? She could care less about children. Yea, pure and simple, she's a bitch.

It pretty ironic to see how our tax dollars are working for us. "Foster Home" how much kick back did you get for saying how "simple" things are. Not one person would put up with that behavior if eating out or in public. To deal with someone like this only makes things worse. You can see from the lobby what a nice little click they have going on where everything is repeated and can be heard. From observation you can sit back and watch how mean spirted (not just her) but most of them are. Go to The Tennessean.com If it's not a problem it will be by the time this office is done.

Seems that people dont understand that these parents that have their children removed get attorneys (court appointed if needed)and that the local judges ensure the parents rights are not violated and that children are not removed from homes were it is not needed and returned when the parent has corrected their issues. There are checks and balances people...anyone that implies otherwise doesnt understand the system.

Patricia Cook is the best and i mean best dcs worker there is ,i had her all threw my juvenile years she didnt just beleave what parents said she cared about the kids she worked with , like she actually genuinely cared what happened to kids and tryed to always work stuff out with parents and kids without taking them out of home which was always he rlast resort if she couldn help . So if anyone works there that is reading this please tell her she will always be recognized and rememebered for she did for my life .
