It would be a good game looking at the scores from their previous games. Pearsall is a much bigger team but I think in the end Dilley would pull it off. Dilley has always been a good football team and will continue to be successfull. Pearsall, in the other hand, hasn't been so successful. They should play against each other because there is a lot of talk between these two towns. It would be a big game just like how Dilley vs. Cotulla is a big game.

i am originally from pearsall and i am an ex mighty maverick but with the coaching staff we have we will be lucky if we score a touchdown coach maples is going to get us another two years of losing i hope i am wrong but a match between the mavericks and the wolves my vote goes to the dilley wolves score of 50 to 0 maybe one touchdown for pearsall sorry maverick comrades but the truth is the truth

we can't even beat them in basketball much less football. i don't know why we don't play against them in football it would be a good game. our fans would love it but it would be bad for our program. we already lose to other 2a schools we don't need to be embarrassed by another.

What do you mean, Cotulla would always kick Pearsall's ass? Pearsall beat Cotulla for over 20 or 30 years!! It's just been in recent years that the Mavericks have lost to them.

we are talking about football, right?...sounds like you were on the dance team...sorry i hurt your feelings...cant take the heat stay inside...i repeat noone cares about back in the day...that is the past...today is here...quit holding onto the past...pearsall would get smoked on friday night by the wolves, you know it and so does everyone else in this area. why did pearsall stop playing cotulla? i'll tell you why, the city of pearsall was in an uproar when yall couldnt beat the cowboys...yall probably figured yall would strut over to cotulla and push them around..everyone knows yall picked up the pieces and went back home...now imagine what would happen when pearsall was to get beat year after year by us a "small school"....it wouldnt be a big deal to us, we beat the same teams yall get beat by year after year...the wolves arent worried about the mavericks...we play for a state championship yall cant even get out the district your in...

I am not worried about playing with Dilley either.

It was not the Mavericks who decided not to play Cotulla. It was decided by the coaches. The players don't have an input as to who they will play. You should know that. As a football fan, I have also been proud of the Cotulla Cowboys and the Dilley Wolves for all their successes have had throughout the years. I love a good game no matter who wins the game.

OK. You says onone cares about the past accomplishments of a team. Then why is it that teams hang up banners or have a board with their past accomplishments for people to see?

DUDE r u serious not 2 be mean but the football team sucks and i myself was from Pearsall so uh i think i would know so yeah. And i never missed Dilley vs. Cotulla n Cotulla vs. Pearsall but now they dont play so yeah!
