has anyone seen the new fire truck in the county? it is massive! how much was spent on that thing?

wow!!! how did the county come up with the money in these times and how did they justify it?

They told the sheriff he had to do without. The county fire department also built a new fire station in Dover Bluff. They had the money to do that, but they are having to keep a county life squad in a city fire station. Life squad 3 is housed in Kingsland station 3. They pay no rent to the city and stay absolutely free. All because the county is supposed to be having financial problems. Guess they are better off then they led the city of Kingsland to believe.

Yea, this dept.(EMS & Firefighters) have always gotten what they "want" not what they need. All of those squads are way more than what is needed. Their budget keeps growing and growing, while the sheriff's budget keeps getting cut.

Well here we go again, Number 1 is the cost of the fire apparatus how do we know what it cost we can only guess what the cost was. I saw it the other day and it is big but it's 2 trucks in 1 it's called a tanker/pumper and that is 2 trucks so if they can man one fire truck instead of 2 fire truck thats cheaper one apparatus or two which is cheaper I think one would be cheaper at what ever the cost was..........

How do you know that the county fire (ems) people do not pay to stay in the city fire staton this is what I know, the county fire people do that stay at (1) City fire station and they the (EMS) PEOPLE respond to all structure fires in the city and they are counted on A fire report as manpower and from what I here the more people on the fire scene the better the citys ISO grade is, so the question is do they stay rent free Or not/.......
