The city and DNR docks at the waterfront park have been closed.

The DNR dock was damaged last week when a Kiwanis volunteer put the fireworks barge back into its slip.

A concrete pile was broken on the DNR dock and the gangway connecting the city and DNR docks was broken at the hinge. The city dock is fine but cannot be accessed because of the damages to the DNR dock. Until the dock is repaired, both docks will remain closed.

It doesn't make any difference anyway. With a 30 minute maximum tie up limit, boaters could not use the docks to have lunch at one of the restaurants anyway, thanks to Tommy Weaver and Tim and Gene the littering crabbers.

Watch how this plays out between now and the St. Marys elections.

Can you guess who will foot the bill for the repairs?

How the hell do you break a concrete piling? Did the Kiwanis volunteer drive the docks back to their normal location with a Mississippi River barge pusher?

Either that or a smaller vessel at "ramming speed."

I have been fishing the north end. Dont give a shit.Close every dock down town and meeting street. A buddy has a ramp at his house I use.
If I was city or DNR Kiwanis insurance should cover it. Wait K.C. does have insurance using city dock. Who pays for a accident if fireworks went wrong on barge.
Pushing that barge was a private boat im sure. Boat should have insurance. the rest of us do.

So to cut right down to it Poor little Tommy could careless with that crap. Not the first elected gives a darn if every fisherman leaves St. Marys why in the hell should I.

But go look at DNR studies between meeeting st. downtown and crooked river. Rec. fishermen put 1.3 million dollars a year in this city run them out

Man, those things must have been spawned in a nuclear power plant's outflow! I've never seen whiting that size. Good eating fish.

I know you are joking KC makes all the profit that day. Look at the overtime, getting ready for that day, clean up ect... Now a private boat was used to move dock. They took control. Why should taxpayers pay for that?

If I drove a car into a city building should tax payer foot the bill?
Why not my insurance pay.
I like the 4th and by ZERO means to move it. just either boat owner or KC should of had insurance.

Best leave them alone. DNR wants cash. waiting to bust someone anyone. I would just go to Florida for now. Too much shit going down in St. Marys.

Yet the DNR does nothing about the raw sewage going into Dark Entry Creek. They don't want anything to be right just here for the cash.

Hush yo mouf. That's just part of the increasingly shitty ambiance at the Borrell Creek Sewage Observatory and Grill.

If you are talking about Jim. 1st he is not my best buddy 2nd he does not own a boat. So please tell me whos boat he was running with no insurance.
come on jorge you can do better than that I hope. Why is the city or the KC letting any boat pull that dock without insurance. What if it got away from them hit a boat and hurt someone should taxpayers pick up that bill also?
