Let's use common sense here. If a person does not pay for water but uses water, someone else has to pay for it. If a person does not pay taxes but uses public services, someone else has to pay for it. I don't have a personal issue with these boaters - I will address this with our city but I do have a problem with these boaters who know they are suppose to register in the state and have not. I do have a problem when you cannot use a public dock to fish all day because a person is docking there for free.

I do take a bath. I am hooked up to city sewer and pay a bill. Get the point the point is if have a pipe running to the river dumping my wash water , dish water , bath water etc. The city would put a stop to it.

Does the City have a policy on the usage of City docks? Having used the downtown City ramps for over twenty five years I've always assumed that was the case. The great majority of us are very courteous loading and unloading as quick as possible and then getting the hell out of the way.

Now I see the Steel Away has been moored for over two weeks at the boat house City dock. Permanently as in all day and overnight. What gives? The larger transient boaters that need repairs or stores and want to make a quick stop are shitt out of luck.

In St Marys, it is all about who you know. Obviously, you are not well known.

Who do l see about docking my boat for free this summer. I'm sure it's no one on the City Council. Have they made a Maritime Heritage District Authority yet?

How much is the Steel Away paying for water and electricity? Is the Steel Away paying $8 per foot for city dock use?

Every time you pay your water and sewer bill, withhold a little bit if you don't want to support the Steel Away. That is why they keep their high priced lawyer, to force actions like this down the citizens throat.

Excuse me but where is the city dock that is required to charge $8/ft for x time? I've heard he has been trying to work out some sort of rent schedule and you just want to pay more taxes.

Well now
Take a boat ride to Fernandina and tie upto their city dock and see what it cost.

i dont want to pay more taxes but why in the hell should our tax dollars go to to pay for him a place to dock.
Last year i spent about $3,000 in fishing tackel the state has already put a special tax onfishing gear to help put these docks in from grants.
so fishermen are paying for these docks now what has john paid.

how much insurance does does he have to cover the city if something happens.

i dont want anyone to pay more taxes i voted no on SPLOST. but dnr said john had told them he didnt have the deisel,so as i have said many times they buy a gallon a week to put in dingy. las sat. we fished the red tournament in jax and put 51 gallons in boat in jax.On 4/20 we will fish a trout tournament and will burn a few gallons.

tak a ride sat afternoon to crooked river to see how much money is spent by fishermen.

All I want is john and mrs.ann to pay their own way.for the council to tell roger weaver to stop screwing around with trying to find them a way out of paying.Tell them he rate is the same as langs.
but he needs to put city on insurance
