Would you feel the hostility if you knew he spent more than $50k in this town? How much have you?

We want the Steel Away to pay tax on the boat, pay for water and sewer, pay dockage fees. The rest of us who own boats pay tax to the state of georgia. We pay for our water, sewer and land. If the Steel Away pays the city the fair amount for using city property and city services good, otherwise hit the road. What he spends at downtown shops don't count. Pay the city, the rest of us tax payers don't want to support a boating free loader.

From what place,John has told me in the past he lives off a fixed income from Social Security.
I am willing to bet he does not make 50k a year from that.
If he is spending that kind of money whats wrong with paying 6.00 a foot per month to dock.

If the city is willing to give free water and trash to everyone that spends a few bucks,I'm sure a few more will want free water and trash service.

List the stores he spent 50k in this city and dont say Rockys out at boatyard I know better

what I gather, he cost the city nothing. Sure Langs marina gets nothing. the real free loaders are the boaters that use the facility at the waterfront. They dump their crap and pay nothing.

There's a lot of BS on this forum, sadly some of the people here don't respond well to logic and or facts.

FACT: Steel Away is equipped with a marine composting toilet. No SEWAGE IS BEING DUMPED OVERBOARD. I shall repeat. NO SEWAGE IS BEING DUMPED OVERBOARD.

FACT: It's perfectly legal for Steel Away to anchor in the river, as long as they're out of the channel.

nobs let me gve you a few facts
FACT: Its AGAINSTthe law to live on a boat in Ga. for more than 30 day in ga unless in a state approved marina.

FACT:The STEAL AWAY is tied up to a city owned dock

can you tell me where I can buy a marine toilet that uses 0 water.

FACT:Something is being dumped over either treated sewage or untreated.

as a USCG captain I know the rules of the water.

I can prove when you take a crap on a boat you can do 1 of 3 things with it 1. dump it raw
2.dump it treated
3.hold for dump station.

If equipped with a Y-valves (also called
“cheater valves”) they also have the option of raw dumping outside of three miles or using a dump station inport.

The boat owner said he had an incinerating toilet. So much for proof.
