Sheriff shouldn't have anything to say. It was at a private party, nothing to do with the department.

Who is the person that ran with the picture, was it just against that deputy or would they have done that to anybody? That person must be perfect, never done anything that if seen or heard by another person might be viewed as wrong. Damn I wish I was as perfect as that person.

Big Chad can dress as he wishes for Halloween. In my opinion he has always been a good hearted man and I wouldn't think that he meant any ill will. Maybe next year him and I can go as Amos and Andy. And for all you ultra sensitive people who wishes to throw stones..Get over it!

I love a preacher who will tell you god loves everyone he is forgiving and will be there in your time of need to help you with bad choices you made or bad situations then this preacher will step on somebody like a bug if given a chance. Why did he not try to talk with the deputy please don't say he did because if that was the case he would have been more then happy to throw that out during his fifteen minutes of fame. So much for teaching that we should be there for people. GREAT JOB Knight. I willl not add pastor a true man of god would have went about this differently.

Straight bull shit.. Did he have permission to use that inmate uniform? If he did not have permission wouldn't that be considered a crime?

As an outsider and regular citizen, everyone has freedom of expression but I think this was done in very poor taste. He is an officer of the law and is held to a higher standard of respect and professionalism than the average person and to dress up as a black inmate was truly a poor choice of costume. They sell those costumes with the ball and chain but going to the extent to portray himself as black on top of it was just in poor taste. I do not however think he should have been suspended or placed on probation, especially if he (as indicated above) inquired with his superiors prior to doing so. This is a personal ethical thing and I do think the sensitivity training would be a plus for all of them.
