Just FYI, yesterday after church, my girlfriend and I decided on our lunch. We chose Sonnys BBQ as usual. The waiter was very nice as always. Our food was brought to us in a timely manner as always. I went to take my first bite and my food was loaded with hair. I nearly gave them my breakfast back. My girlfriend called the waiter over and showed him the hair and he agreed that it was disgusting. The nice waiter attempted to get the manager. After about 10 minutes I told my girlfriend to forget it and lets get out of here. We walked by the kitchen area and they were like 10-15 people just standing around waiting on their food. The nice waiter again approached us and said he was very sorry but was having a hard time to get a manager. I said the hair was not his fault, but we would never be back again. What a shame when we visited Sonnys often. They need hair nets in the kitchen and work on their hygiene. I am sure the health department is not checking them properly. Folks be careful when eating out.

Well you should have asked to speak to Joe the owner. He is a super nice guy and I can assure you he would have someone's butt if he knew they sent something like that out to a customer. Why not try to resolve the matter with him rather than trying to ruin his business on a blog.

Yes your right. Should have spoke to Joe. But how would one know who actually owns this franchise? Lets suppose "Joe" also owns a Sonny's in Brunswick, how would I know where he spends his time? Thinking about it, Unhappy Customer asking for management was the correct response and waiting over ten minutes for a response seems excessive. I think "Joe" has multiple problems to correct and should do it quickly, the competition is brutal.

I have eaten at an Olive Garden and gotten hair in my food. I went back later and there was no hair that time, or the many other times Ive been to the same one. So out of thousands of meals a day, they screwed yours up. It happens. Sonnys in Kingsland is a great place to eat. So are several other restaurants in the area. I smell BS on this post for sure. We got so many places to eat packed into one little area, that some businesses arent getting the amount of business they used to. It happens. The good thing is, variety. Ill eat at any one of them depending on what I want. They are all good food to me.

"Joe" is Joe Loomis. Unlike some doctors and lawyers who buy franchises and have others run them, Joe IS the franchisee for both the Kingsland and Brunswick locations. He is as "hands on" a franchisee" as you'll ever meet. Works his ass off at both locations. Always has. Stickler for quality control and service.

I've eaten there many times and never seen anything that even approached a "Safe Serv" violation in the front of the house - and damned surely never hair in my food.

You can bet that this whole thread is predicated upon a vicious lie. Probably an ex-employee or some ass caught trying to stuff the third round of an all you-can-eat order into her huge purse.

You know, I am the one who made the first post. As a matter of fact this will be my last post on this forum. I wish they would go ahead and pull this forum off the web. I have learned a few things. One I never made the post to try and ruin the Guys business. I made the post to inform others who will still eat there to just be extra careful and check their food to ensure they did not get hair in their BBQ like I did. I have been a resident for over 21 years and I ate at Sonnys about once a week. I actually loved the place, until the hair incident. I am smart enough to know that it can happen. I gave the waiter time to get his boss to show them my issue. That never happened. My point being this. I did not intend for any ones business to be destroyed, I dont think one persons opinion will destroy his business for one, and two I went on the millhouse post and gave my opinion which was a positive experience. I do not work in the food service. Now since just given an opinion and expressing my experience, I have been called the competition which is false. I was trying to have a conversation with you Jay Moreno, because we always disagree on everything. I even backed your opinion of the millhouse and even thought wow maybe we can have an honest to goodness forum without bashing Tommy Gregory or Amanda Williams and even get to the purpose of this forum, but low and behold you start saying their is an axe to grind and even pull the racist card. I could care less who prepared the food, as a matter of fact the hair appeared to belong to a female with long hair, white mind you. Jay this just goes to prove what I have known all a long. You are one ignorant pompass ass white boy. Now you will come on here and call me a thuggie and sob and anything else which is fine, you will even threaten me, which is fine also. But son, know one thing. You are an ill person who will always be alone because you think you are smarter than everyone else, but I have a news flash, you are a little man with a big mouth who can not back it up.

How was I suppose to know who the owner was and I am sure he was in there on Sunday, plus I gave the waiter the chance to get the manager, thanks einstein. Some of you people are unreal. If you do not like what is posted on a blog, stay off.

Thanks, The only true response using common sense. I knew there had to be a least one person with a response that made sense. Others accused me of being the competition, which is false and Jay Moreno accused me of being a racist, that coming from a guy who pushed black kids around at Burger King and does not believe there is a God. Who also lives off my tax money and knows who owns all the local eating establishments, and thinks they like him.

Never take Morenos comments personally. The idiot is half crazy. I'm also a frequent visitor to Sonny's (after Bono's closed) and have never had a problem. You did "Joe" a service by commenting here after failing to get a proper response at the restaurant. Hopefully the management problem will be quickly resolved and I can enjoy many more years of Sonny's BBQ.

Unhappy customer did no service to Joe. They intentially tried to hurt his business by posting here. To use such a lameexcuse as trying to worn others about hair in their food. A complete moron would know that hair in food in a problem. Unforturately, in the resteraunt business it sometimes happens. When did not get a manager then they should have asked for the name and phone number of the owner. There was clearly an agenda here. Nice try though. But we didn't all fall off the turnip truck yesterday. Let's see now if they really aren't gonna post anymore seeings how the posted again twice after they said they weren't going to post anymore. lol

Sonny's has gone downhill in both service and quality. The last three times I have been in there I've had a bad experience. Has anyone noticed the usual lunch crowd numbers? Obviously I'm not the only one that thinks so.... I hope Joe does read these post and take this as constructive criticism, I miss the old Sonny's!
