As someone who isn't familiar with the Janet Brinko case, can you please summarize what you mean when you speak of "similarities" between the two? It appears to me that Crews likely violated one or more ethics rules by confronting a subordinate employee, in the workplace, and then engaging her in a political discussion. In so doing, and without benefit of the conversation's context, it is certainly plausible the employee felt she was being pressured by her boss (someone who could have a significant impact on her future employment) to vote for the boss, and so complained to her second-line supervisor. Regrettably, I believe this is an offense for which termination, while not required, is certainly not out of the question. Am I anywhere close, in your opinion?

Since the newspaper reported that she was given a verbal and written reprimand in November--long before any election talk, maybe the employee performance discussion was the last straw?

Not so fast. When all of this broke, someone posted that the County Manager or someone representing the county said that there were no former reprimands in her folder. Now they mysteriously appear. Something is rotten in Denmark if you ask me.

Again Jay your assumptions are incorrect. Turner's campaign manager is no relation, not from here.

No one was cruising campaign Gregory fundraisers for the initial Smith-Gregory contest as you state was "reported" to you.

Now for some facts, your man Gregory DID force employees to hold signs at the poles during voting, cook at campaign events, and did make it clear to all employees that if they were found supporting the opposition he would terminate their employment.

There is a difference between posting facts, and then your opinion, trying to support it with outright lies. If you dislike Turner, fine, that's your business. But your claim to intimately know about the Turner family is hogwash.

Fact: In an earlier post on another thread you stated Turner's mother was dead. It is his father that has passed. Clearly you post on emotion about things and people you know nothing about.

Did anyone see the retraction from the Tribune and Georgian (page 2) in yesterdays edition regarding the fact they incorrectly reported that Crews had a reprimand in her file....Hmmmmm wonder where they got that wrong information from??? This just gets better and better can't wait to see what happens next!!!
