Location is inconvenient for people who want to grab a quick cup. This county doesn't have enough "high brows" who have to have their lattes and cappuccinos. No student base for the ones who like to sip overpriced coffee and play on their laptops or I Phones.

Same recycled local dive! Same people different names of the businesses. When are you local o'culls going to get it! We are not interested in spending our hard earned money on another one of y'alls generic, recycled unimaginative establishments. No thank You! We all will continue to spend our money in Jacksonville, Yulee or Brunswick where they truly have made an effort to appeal to the shopping needs of Camden County residents. When are the powers that be in Camdun gonna wake up! You good ole boys that own all this land, you rather starve yourselves and keep putting the tax burden on the homeowners instead of waking up and realizing the lack of an open market free enterprise is killing this place. I refuse to spend a dime here just because of that fact! And many others feel the same way! No choice! No money! Simple as that. Perfect example of lack of commerce & mismanagement is St. Marys.

Just for the record.....the owners of this business are from Texas....they are not locals.....and they also own Dr Suds car wash in front of K-Mart....maybe we should be thanking people with an idea and a vision for bringing them and their money to our city.

I wish them luck but if they succeed they will be they will be the first coffee shop in the history of Camden County to make it.

An earlier poster nailed it. The market for high priced coffee does not exist here. Especially not at THAT location.

They would probably do well in downtown Jax or Five Points in Jax.

However, my friend Sarah said she and a few lady friends stopped in there and liked it.
You thank em

They did, last Monday, to a huge crowd. I got there around 5:30pm and it took about :30 minutes to fill my 3-sandwich order. Try the fully involved hot veggie sandwich.

people like " not interested again" are the problem.... not wanting to shop or spend money locally?! really? You think that helps? Many hard working individuals own local small businesses. Ask them how they feel about the community not being supportive. There are and have been many fine shops and restaurants locally but the locals don't support them. How can they stay in business and why would others want to open businesses seeing this? If you want more places to shop, more places to eat....buy and eat locally! Othets will come!

What Camden County needs is industry. But the leaders don't want it. When the mill property was in in bankruptcy a company wanted to buy it and make an ethanol plant. What did St Marys do? They said NO. The ethanol plant would have brought jobs in and they would have paid taxes.

But what you DMA types don't seem to get is that we consumers have absolutely no moral obligation to "support" ANT business, much less just because they are "local."

Our obligation in financial matters is to our own self-interest.

If the quality and price of a business' products and/or services satisfy our needs, then we might well decide that it in OUR best interest to PATRONIZE the business out of self-interest, not "support" it out of a false sense of obligation.

Grow up, buck up, stop whining, and COMPETE for our business.

Convince us that your products and/or services are better and at a better price point than all alternatives and we will flock to your doors.

That's how American capitalism works. If both producers and consumers do not act rationally in their own best interest, the whole system fails. If you can't do that, close up shop NOW and find a job.

You might want to Google ( or better yet, read) Adam Smith's "Wealth of Nations." Pay particular attention to ""the invisible hand."
