So its come to my attention that the Kingsland Police Dept. patrol officers are doing what needs to be done and finally speaking out against the poor lack of leadership and constant barrage of memo's that only make them despise their supposed leaders even more. This is by far the best thing i have heard in a while. These boys and girls work their ass off to protect us and our families, only to be treated like a red headed step child. Maybe ol' TT, Griffis, and that backwoods bumbling idiot they call a Major will be put out to pasture! All I can say from where I am standing is that this is what KPD needs, a mutiny and a voice against the ones who have brought down great officers and made a once great job into a chore! I forsee change and I forsee it coming soon. Ladies and gentlemen of law enforcement i really hope that the recent uproar brings about positive change for you all!

memos, with an S, no apostrophe, just like photos, for plural, more than one, just add an S, as for changes coming, things always change and not always for the better.

You can treat your officers poorly and use your position of power to reward your buddies for only so long. Then it all comes crashing down.

when your a Chief of a Police Department you treat EVERYONE the same, not like it has been done, pick and choose you would give privilages to and who walks around cocky and with their noses in the air. Most of the Officers are very good ladies and gentlemen, but the Chief and ole T/T, picks and choose who they treat fairly.
I also hear that OLE T/T has hired two officers
from St. Marys because they knew they were going
to be fired and told one of the he was going to
be brought in over training, this is ridiculous.
Old Daryl sits back and treats patrol like their
trash and nothing better than dirt and Investigations (some of them) do nothing and
keep getting a pat on the back for doing NOTHING.
and walks around like their Gods Gift, NOTTT.
I proud of the City Officals for looking into this
matter, it's about time.
TREAT EVERYONE THE SAME AND DO NOT HAVE FAVORITES and you will NOT have a problem.
Patrol works their butts off, Daryl and T/T need to
go and go fast. I hear they need drivers for
the garbage trucks.

Well let's see now, we have heard complaints about the sheriff, the Saint Marys police and now the Kingsland police. Sounds like same ol same ol thing, police grumbling. A few get unhappy and the grumbling starts until some official with an ax to grind decides to "look into it" as you say. This place never changes. Griffis, Hatche and Gregory are not perfect, but they are better than most, so deal with it. I hope that cooler heads will prevail in each of these cases. Of course the Sheriff was decided on by the people. If the people were to chose, Griffis and Hatche would be okay and back to work without having to deal with junk like this.

So I guess you find it acceptable that people who have more time with the agency and better credentials, continually get passed over for people with less time and less experience? All so Griffis and Tetterton can use their positions to reward their cronies. Is this how you would like to be treated by your employer? These cops have a right to be angry, and I commend them for rallying together for change rather than jumping ship on the community they serve. Hey KPD admin.....hold on change is coming.

I support almost all of the officers, most of them are the best in all of Georgia. They have much to be proud of, keep your heads up.

it is crystal clear from your post that you have never sat on any type of hiring/promotion board. Of equal and sometimes greater value is work ethic and attitude. There is much to consider and weigh if the process is done professionally. Once employees demonstrate poor working habits and bad attitudes it is very hard to overcome no matter how many training classes attended. No employer wants to spread the poison of Shitty Attitude to others. We can all read between the lines in this thread.

All the above statements are true! Maybe some of the media needs to know what two a day keeps the major away! A little hit for the citizens of Camden (tickets tickets tickets)!! A traffic bureau for a department that small for what reason?? Revenue? No!!! Not Griffis!! Ummm yeah Griffis! And let's not waste our time on TT he's wasted enough of our tax payers money!! Chew on that.....

its abundantly clear that you are a benefactor of Griffis promotional system, friend or family member, or perhaps a member of his chosen few. I say that bc I do not understand how any objective person could defend his actions. I could break down all the promotions and special assignments he has made and show you a clear pattern of croneyism. But there is no point trying to convince you. If everyone followed your attitude of love it or leave it, Kingsland wouldn't have but maybe 10 cops at best. Employees need to be able to strive for promotions, however upward mobility is not based on merit at kpd. So you get what we have here. Enjoy your coffee.
