Does anyone know about a young man that was injured seriously working on a tire in a local repair shop? Someone told me today about it and that it happened 2 or 3 weeks ago. just wondering how he was. Heard OSHA was there and was serious investigation.

Hopefully he will be OK. But so sad to be injured so seriously at such a young age.

I did hear something about the man getting hurt. But do not know any updates.

I bet the injured man has had many lawyers contact him.

My ears and feelers out have found out that they heard the injured employee died. I am contacting OSHA tomorrow and get the truth, then find that guy or his family a good lawyer. The Tire Shop he worked in needs to be shut down for good and the owner run out of town.

Found out the injured employee did not die, but the tire shop owner has quietned him and everyone around him down. I hope OSHa puts the owner of the tire shop where he belongs. heft fines and possible jail time.

Shy,
Have you heard the whole story.

Tire shops are dangerous places to begin with. He could have just had a tire blow that he was filling up.

It is stanard practice for OSHA to investigate accidents in the work place reguardless of what the business is.

Rick, the owner of this tire shop has pushed the envelop too long. He cares for no one but himself and the dollar in his pocket. He instructed Chris the repairman to remove the rim and tire. Chris asked him didn't he need the cage (repairmen put these between themsrlves and the tires/rims, because they do explode.). The owner told him no no, get the job done, don't worry about. Chris had several bones broken when the tire exploded including his pelvis, Osha was called in and they were going to shut the tire shop down completely, but thanks to the crooked owner's connections, he is open. I have been talking with Osha almost every day to see that he is shut down. Chris will get a good lawyer and the owner will be poor poor poor. What goes around comes around. time for payback.

Rick, I will be emailing you with the name and info, but give me until next week and let me see if OSHA does their job. If they don't, then I will talk to some friends and a lawyer and decide what to do. If you can help and keep my name anonymous the same as Osha is, you can email me at [email protected]

Guess what...OSHA has done zilch. they could care less about some poor guy getting hurt. I think they were told by someone in Kingsland to stay away. I will get to the bottom of this. Rick....may need your help on this. This could be a juicier story for the Time Union than Billy boy.

Shy,
I really don't think that you will find much here. It takes a lot for OSHA to do anything. This would be an issue for the labor board, and that guy would have to start those proceedings. You can't do it for him. I don't know what I could do, but you know where to find me.
