All assault rifles should be banned.

It sounds to me that the pro assault rifle people need 30 rounds to hit their target, when the rest of the sensible gun owners can do it in 1 or 2.
But are you willing to put your head up to take those one or two well aimed shots before that savage has emptied his magazine?

You've never served, have you. There are no "Navy medics," you ignorant ass. There are Navy Hospital Corpsmen, some of whom are assigned to Field Medical Service School where they pick up the NEC (Navy Enlisted Code) HM 8404 which is a Field Medical Service Technician trained specifically to serve imbedded with Marines in a medical capacity.
Not all service members are wounded in ANY conflict, not even FMF Corpsmen, you ignorant puke.
When you have combat experience that did not emanate from a CD your permissive parents allowed you to have, get back to me.
I was US Army. Can't help the Navy has strange names for their male nurses, who eat bad food.

No, though savagery is far more likely to be exhibited by Black thug society than any other segment of the American population - and by a wide, easily observable, and undeniable margin.

Ban all Hover Rounds they are dangerous and lead to extra time to sit and type on Toepix.

Why then are all these mass shootings committed by whites? I think your racist views need a revisit. You truly are a POS! "easily observable, and undeniable margin." Yea Right.

That's a good question.

I would be interested in hearing your ideas as to why.

I would also like your estimation of the ratio of victims of deranged White mass shooters to the body count produced annually by Black thugs killing at the retail level.

The shootings are being used as a political step for gun control. Yes, we have the right to bear arms, but we also have a right to educate ourselves and our children on gun safety. Also, you're blaming the gun for those children getting killed. Who is to say that the gunman didn't suffer from mental illness? We have gun laws meant to control the sale and distribution of guns. People have to pass a background check. Instead of banning a type of weapon all together, why don't we take better steps to control the sale of them (like say a psych eval)? Take a look at this:
http://www.momlogic.com/2008/08/protect_your_...
Gun incidents happen every year, and they involve children. Yes, it's sad, but it's not all automatic rifles. The list includes 9mm (standard issue for some police) and a revolver. Any type of gun can kill a child. This brings us back to the saying "Guns don't kill people, People kill People". A gun is only as dangerous as the person holding it.

If I am not correct, wasn't it a white man that killed the kids in CT?

Usually, blacks with a gun go after a few people to hit because of a "wrong".

The white crazy kids are usually the ones that tend to mow down everyone because they can.

I would have argued differently just a few years ago, but I now stand behind tougher GUN CONTROL LAWS. Our forefathers did not forsee the society we live in today...so the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply. We battle governments with votes, not with guns. Guns don't kill people you're right...but they help. Come to boot camp and see how poorly your average citizen shoots prior to training and you wouldn't trust them so easily when it comes to the "it takes a gun to stop a gun" arguement. Teachers with guns? Really? That's just a rewrite of Archie Bunker's theory about hijackers written by hollywood and said purely for entertainment value. All guns have the ability to be used for self protection in some form, but they simply aren't. Far more harm is done than saving by the average citizen with a weapon. I don't have anwers, but I will support with my vote efforts to curtail the violence. I do not have the will or the strength to look at the faces of hurt children again due to my inaction.
