I don't doubt for a second she would win.
Look at the democrats base of voters... the unemployed, those on food stamps, government workers or retirees. union members, andn there are more and more of these types. Give people free stuff from the treasury and they will vote democratic FOREVER!
We have argued about this before. The successful tax paying public is in the minority and will be for a long time
The government retirees I know are all Conservatives.

You've never met me. Don't know me or my family from Adam. In fact we've never even responded to each other's Topix postings.
Yet, because I no longer own a shop (lost it in the Great Recession a couple years back) and now simply work for someone else, I should be scorned and fired.
If you ever wonder why the Republican Party is declining and despised, consider your own comments about this middle class guy and it won't be hard to tell why.
I hope you and your Topix twin Bubba131 enjoy your remaining time under a succession of Democratic Presidents.

Hey, Red. You have posted the same cut and paste article more than half a dozen times. I read it the first time and then the second thinking you might have posted something new. Now I don't bother and I doubt if anyone else does either. Why don't you try to find something new to cut and paste and, until you do, stop cluttering up the forum.
Anon, why should I try to find something else when this article is true and debunks the socialists claim that the recession was Bush/Cheney's fault.

You don't like it, sorry, don't read it or prove that it is false and I will quit posting it.

Truth, go back and read your post #10. In it you said you would prefer a President Al Sharpton over Bush/Cheney. Anyone who would seriously make that statement is a certifiable idiot.

The article I post is proof that Bush/Cheney did not cause the recession that began in 2009. If you would do some reading you would learn that the Community Reinvestment Act, which led to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, eventually led to the financial collapse of 2008-2009, is the real reason for the recession. Oh, by the way. Your hero Obama, was a big supporter of the CRA which let unqualified people get government homeowner loans on which they eventually defaulted. He also whole heartily voted for and supported the bank bailouts.

Yeah, I still think you are a complainer and blamer. Life isn't and never has been fair. Lots of people have ran into rough times in their life but they didn't spend the rest of their life complaining and blaming other people.

Alert, what room are you and Truth sharing at the state nut house. I can tell that your elevators do not go to the top floor.

It is apparent you agree with Truth who wants the government to make sure he has as much as any one else even though he has not put forth the same amount of effort, and might not be smart enough to compete in a free market.

As I have said before, the millions of refugees trying to get here tells me that this is still the greatest nation on this planet but people like you and Truth and other socialist are hard at work trying to change it!

I am curious. By what measure is America the greatest nation on the planet?
Its not education..last time I looked they were in the 30's.
Its not healthcare..same ranking somewhere in the 30's.
I would guess they are trying to get here because it has become a welfare state. Come here ,get on welfare and live happily ever after..

Sorry bubba but you are wrong. Who ranks our education systems in the 30's? Same for healthcare? Probably some foreign leftist group.

Simple question for you, where do most of the foreign nations send their people to get an education? The United States.

Without fail we have the greatest health care system in the world, that being said it is also the most expensive. Some people claim that because we don't have a government run healthcare system that people fall through the cracks. Can you name one proven case where someone has died because they could not get medical attention here in the US? As a news junkie for the past 50 years I cannot recall a single death attributed to lack of medical treatment due to being unable to pay.

For some reason I looked it up several months ago.... I don't
remember why.
I also forget the site but I will try and go back and find it...I DO remember that the statistics were from 2012.
I may have to disagree with your claim that we are the best as far as medical care and education.
I KNOW we aren't tops in education..probably China and India..
You read all the time where the states are reducing the graduation requirements.
I shall try and find the site.

I think there are alot more aspects of medical care than emergency services which you refer to above.
For example research, preventive medicine, testing, and innovation to name a few.

Not to jump in the middle of your exchange, but the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), commonly called Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act, really is kicking into high gear the research and preventive medicine coverage for our citizens. All kinds of things, including our world's ranking, will certainly improve in the coming years as a result of his efforts to improve medical care in our great country.

Noone knows the details yet and wont until 2014.
However you seem to agree with the USA not being in the forefront of medical care.

Doc - how much is it going to cost for the research and preventive med coverage?

That old adage, there ain't no such thing as a free lunch, is in fact true. All these free things you say are provided by Obamacare has to be paid for by someone, either the taxpayers or the insurance company. According to those who buy health insurance the premiums are escalating at a high rate.

You do remember they took 500 billion out of medicare for the start up of Obamacare, don't you? Well, Sebelius now admits that that is not near enough and is asking for 1.5 trillion more.

Obamacare really does prove the bumper sticker "IF YOU THINK HEALTCARE IS EXPENSIVE NOW WAIT UNTIL THE GOVERNMENT CONTROLS IT" is true.

Good night
