Received this as an email:Received from Herb Rowland, Chair.

Rumor. These are cpu's that were declared surplus at the end of their useful service. They have been refurbished and are for sale to the public for about $80.00 each with proceeds to be used to purchase new technology. This is in our March minutes. Of course employees of the BOE may purchase them since they are taxpayers, but they are for sale to anyone who wants to make a purchase! I don't know who starts stuff like this!!!

Well Marion that sort of contradicts the letter Will Hardin sent to Rick Rogers, does'nt it. They never advertised this sale to the public. Herb should learn to be a better liar or he should stick to the truth, whichever is most comfortable.

What the elected fail to realize in this situation as well as others around this county IS it's no longer business as usual. With technology facts can be spread faster than the lies told in board meetings.

I think they speak behind closed doors...and think folks just won't find out what is happening.

Maybe Rowland and Hardin need to hold a public meeting and let the public know the truth.

I do believe sale of public goods bought with taxpayers $$$ are to be posted for so many days...advertised so people know the sale will be happening...and it doesn't matter if school employees are allowed to buy the stuff...because they are taxpayers too..the fact remains...John Q Public should have been notified and everyone given equal opportunity...to purchase.
