I just called to find out the information about enrolling my child in the Camden county pre k program for next school year. I found out it is a lottery system and there is only one class at Woodbine Elementary. Are there any other parents out there that have gone through this process? How many of your children have actually gotten in? I feel that it is a very important program, but why do they make it so difficult to enroll a child?

The program is a "lottery" to make sure no child has a better shot of getting in than another. The state funds the program so the local system can only offer the number of students that funding supports. My brother and his wife went through the process last year, nephew wasn't drawn so I believe they enrolled him in Happy Apple.
Good luck with the lottery though.

My daughter went to King of Peace and loved it until the rates got so high that there was no way to keep her there, she still calls it her school whenever we pass by. I called Noahs Ark and got the information it seems like a good program.

Both my children have gotten in on the lottery at WES. All pre-K is free and state funded by the Ga Lottery. If you don't get in on the lottery there are many places county wide that offer it free (funded by the state).

good thing about Noahs Ark, and a few others, is that they teach our kids early on about life values and God's love! it is a great program!

Agreed, I love that there are programs like these that are still being allowed to exist!
