funny how he went to the river before the meetings. when he had been tied up to the dock for the month? its time for the rust away to move on . and he can take the other sail boaters with him. no more thanks giving dinners . or any thing for free . we will stop all sail boaters coming in to st marys river and turn them around.i talked to the crabbers and they are going to help run them off to

never will figure this one out of the hate towards sailboaters ... they pretty much stay to themselves and do not try to cause any trouble ... The thanksgiving dinner was set up by sailboaters and pretty much paid for by them ... but then who really cares .... no one!!!!

This has nothing to do with sailboats. Steelaway is a freeloader who just happens to be a sailboater. If a large powerboat used our taxpayer supported assets, tying up docks, using free water, dumping gray water and who knows what into our river, getting free trash pickup, and paying no taxes, the complaints would be the same.

The Steelaway is perceived as a main ingredient for the Maritime Historic District. This project has been underway for some time now. These invite the public for discussion meetings is no more than a typical dog and pony show.

Like the airport move the public input is ignored and the only reason that program was stopped was the bottom falling out of the economy.

The real estate cartel will bankrupt the City before ending their vision for tax payer funded expansion.

i will help you then you help me. I dont have a problem with sailboaters.I just want them to pay their way for what they use.
How many complaints have you heard about boats at langs?
Why do you think the taxpayers should buy ang give the steel away free dockage to run charters. Let them advertise in city buildings downtown? not provide city with insurance that the city is covered?
provide free water garbage pick-up?
At thanksgiving a fellow fisherman and his wife going to carry 2 covered dishes down and they said it was for cruisers only.

The city and steel away got us to feel this way mostly.
take Phil Jones and his wife they put their boat in sail a day or 2 take boat out. has a home here pays the same services that i do.
He does his best to help downtown. the others are looking at it like let me get it for free

There's a big difference between "occasional" and chronic. When did they start paying for water? What about other taxpayer supported services?

Dear Buckwheat;

I feel ashamed for taking the time and reading your illiterate garbage. Does the City charge water usage by the bucket while free loading at our 1.3 million property?

Then be Ashamed! We Shouldn't even have a 1.3 million dollar property!! Not by the bucket! Not an attack on fisherman or pleasure boats but they use free water to rinse and flush the boats out at the ramps, they come from other towns & states. Just saying Not Attacking!

How long did they receive free water before being shamed into paying? What about dock fees, trash, ad valorem? They are free loaders!

The problem is not the steelaway, the problem is with council.

Council is responsible for protecting city assets from freeloaders.
