I'm sure she gets thousands of letters per week, she can't respond to them all. If this congressman wants answers on a government agencies tactical decisions, he request a committee convene, begin an investigation and call the DHS before Congress. I know for a fact that the current ammo counts are inadequate for the agencies needs.

If you are an employee of DHS, than I am SURE we are in serious trouble. Either the huge ammo buy is designed to remove bullets from store shelves (and it has been hugely successful at doing that) or the Department is preparing for a major confrontation with the populous.

The 2700 DHS assault vehicles add to my concerns.

All those rounds are coming in handy in Boston right now.

For every round shot in combat there is a thousand shot in training. I shoot more.

Those were not DHS personel firing weapons in Boston. From news accounts it was local police, state troopers, ATF, and FBI.

As to your shooting more, there is something called "wasting assets"

What bean-counting bureaucrats call 'wasting assets', I call perfecting my craft.

Here's your homework: Research what is included in DHS grants for terrorism preparedness.

Prove I don't. You're the expert on my training schedule. Where do you get your information? Who is your source? Topix readers want the full story. Expose the fake!

Or are you full of crap?

When the ticking time bomb that we call the US economy and the calamity that we call the US dollar implode, THE SHIT WILL HIT THE FAN. What do you think is going to happen when the welfare checks stop coming? What about when prices of goods double, triple, etc? What about when store shelves are empty?

Your government is preparing itself, so why shouldn't you? 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition is enough ammo to invade a large country. Hollow point ammunition is against the Geneva Convention and are not used in training.

And lastly, if you think the government is looking out for your best interest, think again. Government's key concern is self preservation, just ask honest Abe.

I hear you. Recommend everyone to stock up on non-perishable food while you can. It's too late to stock up on protection.
