How does it compare with Longhorn Steak House?

What are their noteworthy menu items?

They are great. You can check out their menu on the web. They have a large selection. Cajun Rib-eye with sweet potato fries.

You are being an idiot. Punish the Steak House because you don't like who ate there. Okay so I can eat there because a dumbass isn't going to eat there anymore. Well alrighty then.

I ate there with my family.... it was good but we prefer Longhorn Steakhouse given the choice.

In may have to eat these words but intuitively, based upon past experiences, I believe I might be inclined to look to Longhorns for my steaks and Mill House for more adventuresome dishes.

Restaurants who do essentially one thing tend to do that one thing better.

If Mill House has every item on their menu available 365 and prepares each one as well as it can be every time, then my hat is off to them. That is a very ambitious and daunting menu in terms of logistics and quality control.

Millhouse is the exception to the less on the menu is better rule.I do enjoy Longhorn, but they don't have a steak that can match the gorgonzola sirloin.Their salad dressings are made fresh daily as well.

If you like poorly prepared overpriced steaks, then the Millhouse is for you. The one in Brunswick is horrible and I don't expect much more from this one.

Okay, I just got back from my first trip tot he Kingsland Millhouse Steakhouse about 5 minues ago.

As recommended, here's what I had:

MILLHOUSE GORGONZOLA SIRLOIN*-$16.99

Eight slices of pan seared sirloin, fresh garlic sautéed spinach, mashed potatoes, award winning gorgonzola butter sauce.

That also comes with your choice of a hosue salad or a Caesar salad. I went with the house salad.

Also comes with some of the best hot, fresh-baked bread I've ever had in any restuarant. The accompanying butter and two different infused olive oils were excellent.

Iced tea (adequate but could be stronger) was extra.

Total bill:$20 and change - a great value for the quality and service.

They've recruited a staff of quite lovely and personable hostesses and waitresses in their early to mid 20's.

The dish I had is not for folks who are a little squemish about strong flavors.

The gorganzola is an Italian blue cheese. Quite strong. I found that I needed to scrape off some of the overly generous gorgonzola butter sauce from the steak slices until I got just exactly the right ration of steak flavor to sauce flavor. Once I found that sweet spot, is was extraordinarily good.

The steak sits atop a bed of mashed potatoes that I suspect are mashed baked potatoes. Perfect.

What really makes the dish - besides the gorgonzola sauce - is the spinach.

My guess is tha they take fesh young spinach leaves and put them into a conical strainer. After trhoweing in a generous helping of minced garlic and what appears to be a few mustard seeds, they immerse it into rapidly boiling water just long enough to blanche it, then drain and serve. It comes out scalding hot. It is the absolutely perfect compliment to the steak and sauce when you eat it all together.

The hosue salad was excellentg. Some of the best - oh, hell - THE best ranch dressing I've EVER tasted.

Camden, we have arrived! This place is a real winner!
