Why aren't gas prices dropping around here??? Folks I talk to online in SC and TN have had an average drop in price of .40 cents per gallon over the last 2 wks!!

There is a company in Waycross that can answer your question. I believe it is Lewis Rollerson Oil. Brunswick is usually cheaper than Camden too. Flying J Truck Stop usually beats us.

Lewis Rollerson is the oil distributor for Camden County. From what you are saying it indicates there may be a local association that is intent on keeping gas at the price of Fla. Florida pays at least $.15 more in taxes. I believe it is more but don't have the figure at hand. So, what are you going to do?

In my opinion, every dollar we give OPEC is a dollar given to terrorism. Every dollar they take comes from our economy. The US Gov would rather allow OPEC to take our bucks and use their oil than spend the money here and reduce our foreign dependence. We give them 7 billion a year.

These are additional taxes added by IFTA. Check their site out while you are there. How many people have their hands in this mess anyways. No wonder it is staying at 4$ a gallon.

I read the table. I guess I don't believe Fla taxes are less. I can't dispute what I have just read but think I have read another source that stated Fla was about 11 cents more than us.

Sir or mam, you are a fine American. I couldnt agree more! They say it is all environmental. Well I wonder what the environment will be like after they nuke us with a bomb we basically bought for them. DRILL AT HOME!!! SCREW THE SEALS!! AND THE FLORIDIANS WHO SAY NO!! We would be drilling if it werent for the liberal scum over on the left. Although it wont reach the retail market for years, domestic drilling will be a step to an energy independant nation.

According to the American Petroleum Institute gas taxes in Fla is 51.6, Ga is 46.4 and the US average is 49.4.

Fla has a 6% sales tax and $.332 gallon tax.
Ga has a 4% sales tax and $.26 gallon tax.
I would say there is a printed variation in gasoline taxes for the year 2008.

I find different numbers on each site I go to. Who has the real numbers is the question. I know that it hurts to even mow my grass. It takes $15 to fill up my motorcycle!! I wish the rich politicians had to walk in our meager little shoes for a while to see how it feels to take the brunt of their ignorance. Things would change pretty quick then.

Florida 51.6 53.4 Sales tax 11.6. 4 cpg excise tax. 2.2 cpg environmental inspection.
Georgia 44.4 52.6 4% sales tax. Local option sales taxes from 1% to 3%
Suspect this is pretty close.
