Gotta love the "System".

Some things never change.

- Commit War crimes;
- Kidnap, Torture, Assassinate;
- Reveal the identities is covert CIA officers;
- Violate every Constitutional Right and Protection;

and all is well.

But if some damn SOB goes "off the reservation" and threatens to investigate the tax exempt status of Billionaires' fake groups;

We'll take your sorry ass down in a Nee York minute. Maybe you can get a job where you won't threaten the wrong people.

Lord, who are these bureaucrats Who don't understand sone people are just too rich and powerful to investigate.

Meet the new boss
-Same as the old boss

And to think Right Wing Wackos actually think Obama is a liberal.

If this doesn't prove to them that he's Bush with a brain they just don't have the mental horsepower to ever get it.

That my friends is how you write a properly indignant post without actually saying ANYTHING. Words like Liberty, destroying America, Destroying Bill of Rights, wow - it all sounds very impressive! While not actually discussing ANY particular point about how to govern a nation.
If your point was blustery uselessness, well done my friend. Well done.
Well looky here, posting from the united states, so easy to change names and appear to be legion.

Obama stated, once again, from the Rose Garden, he hears political breaking news on television or from reading his morning newspaper. How many idiots believe this?? I guess he's speaking directly to his loyal ghetto supporters & kool aid drinkers. This man either thinks we're stupid, OR is so far removed from daily briefings, he actually just doesn't care..... I did read he often SKIPS daily briefings, so maybe it IS true.... As, someone said, he's the most dangerous, non-Christian, anti-American, we've EVER had in the Oval Office.

The idiots here on topix, they hold their breath every day and wait for Obama's wonderful insight and words of glory.

Some people like you will bring it up forever. You hate Obama, and the press tells you that "you've got something".

Most people are far less worried about it. They'd rather know that somebody cares about their home value. They'd rather know their job is secure. They'd rather know that middle-class issues are being improved upon.

Do nothing president? I think what we have is a do-nothing Republican-led congress. What are the Republicans doing for our country? Voting for the THIRTY-SEVENTH time to repeal PPACA - even thought millions of Americans are already benefiting from it?

What else? Where is their legislation that makes life better for Americans?

That's the thing about Republicans - they want heads on sticks. So whose head do you want on a stick? Which person in the IRS DO you want fired? That's an insane criticism and even you know it.

So you'll B$tch at him if he says he'll cooperate, you'd B$tch at him if he didn't cooperate. You're a hater and nothing will make you happy unless some useless science-hating, loud-mouthed corporate-worshipping redneck republican fool is in office. Just admit it.

Chris Matthews said something anti-obama? Who cares? You seem caught up on the guy, I don't even know who he is.

Look, Chicken. I know in your heart you believe in Obama. I get it. Really. I know you think it's the thing to do, but it's not funny anymore. It's time for you to see him for what he is and what he is not. He IS an emplty fraudulous suit. He IS NOT a leader.
You just hate the guy with a passion. You've never once explained exactly why, other than whatever the excuse you can find for the day. It doesn't explain the root cause of your hatred.

Benghazi - some emails were edited before a statement was made. Big deal. Really - almost everybody in the country EXPECTS that information is considered and wording is considered before being released by the White House.

IRS - Not a thing. You do realize the IRS has over 100,000 employees, right? You expect that the POTUS should directly oversee what every single one of them is doing? Nuts.

AP - Who knows? We don't have enough information, and probably never will. So some Republican Congressional witch-hunters are poking Holder with a pitch-fork. It's all just a public show. If they just invited Holder into their office and said "hey-what's going on?" They would have gotten answers that included the classified security issues. Republicans are trying to make a showing in a politicized attempt to knock a couple percentage points off the Dems for the next election. They're trying to distract from the fact that they aren't doing ANYTHING useful for America.

I know in your heart that you truly believe that Obama should be tarred and feathered - but you need to come to terms with reality. You really should be writing letters to your Republican Congressional leaders begging them to quit with the tom-foolery and get serious about working for the American people again.

How many times can the president continue to say he knows not one thing...until it hits the news.... It looks like his advisors would say, "Mr. President, we understand, you've missed dozens of daily intel briefings, but you be sure to sound as though you're WAY, WAY ahead of the public." .... Such incompetence, it's embarassing.

The IRS has over 100,000 employees.

In the US reporters are not required to submit their stories to the White House for approval before printing. Are you suggesting you'd like to change that? Does North Korea's model sound better to you?

Such knee-jerking from Americans is embarrassing. It really shows off the lack of education of so many of our citizens.

What is the Republican congress doing to improve educational standards in the US? Especially in the field of science? It appears many of the Republican Senators and Representatives are particularly deficient in that area.

When can we expect some Republican legislation?

Great post.

I'm disappointed in Obama because he either doesn't have the temperament to tell the Right Wing Wackos to eat sand, or he is just a slightly less Right Winger than Bush (Bush with a brain).

And still the more ignorant and uniformed Right Wing Wackos think he's a liberal. Of course to them, Jesus is a Libtard, so what would you expect ?

It's kind of like when your in law suits - it's never about the money - except it's always about the money.

With Right Wing Wackos - it's never about Obama's skin tone - but it's always about Obama's skin tone.

Bobby Jindal and volcano monitoring: What was he talking about?
By Jordan Lite | Feb 25, 2009 10:20 AM
http://www.scientificamerican.com/blog/post.c...

When Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal delivered the official Republican response to President Obama’s speech last night, he blasted elements of the economic stimulus package as “wasteful spending”– among them,“$140 million for something called ‘volcano monitoring.’”

“Instead of monitoring volcanoes, what Congress should be monitoring is the eruption of spending in Washington, D.C.,” Jindal said.

What was that all about? Well, Congress authorized some of that $140 million to be spent on volcano monitoring, but not all of it, ProPublica notes in a blow-by-blow of the economic recovery package. That line, ProPublica says, is directed to “U.S. Geological Survey facilities and equipment, including stream gages, seismic and volcano monitoring systems and national map activities.”

...The USGS is charged with working to “reduce the vulnerability of the people and areas most at risk from natural hazards,” including volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis and wildfires which it says cost hundreds of lives and billions of dollars annually in disaster money. Between 50 and 70 volcanoes erupt each year, according to the Smithsonian's global volcanism program. And between 1980 and 1990, they killed at least 26,000 people and caused 450,000 people to flee their homes, the USGS says.
==========
Budget cuts pare real-time monitoring of volcanoes
May 14, 2013
By RACHEL D'ORO, Associated Press
http://www.usnews.com/science/news/articles/2...

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP)— Scientists monitoring Alaska's volcanoes have been forced to shut down stations that provide real-time tracking of eruptions and forgo repairs of seismic equipment amid ongoing federal budget cuts — moves that could mean delays in getting vital information to airline pilots and emergency planners.

The Alaska Volcano Observatory can no longer seismically monitor five volcanoes with real-time equipment to detect imminent eruptions. Such equipment is especially important in helping pilots receive up-to-the-minute warnings about spewing ash that can cause engine failures and other problems.

Alaska has 52 active volcanoes, with many of them located on the Aleutians Islands along international air routes between Europe, North America and Asia.

Alaska Airlines officials said the observatory, funded by the U.S. Geological Survey, provides a crucial service, including early warnings of seismic changes that may portend an impending eruption. Monitors need to be operating all the time, not just during major eruptions, said Betty Bollert, an Alaska Airlines dispatcher.

...The Alaska volcano monitoring system, first created in 1988, is intended to help pilots avoid such problems. But it has regressed over the past few years because of shrinking finances, and now the across-the-board spending cuts known as sequestration are further squeezing operations.

For example, gone is a plan to install seismic monitors at Cleveland Volcano, a remote mountain on an uninhabited island in the Aleutians. The volcano experienced a low-level eruption earlier this month that continues to discharge steam, gas and heat, although no ash clouds have been detected in the past week.

...Decreasing funds, once boosted by $2.5 million in now-defunct congressional earmarks, also have forced staff reductions. These days, the observatory is operating on $4 million annually, roughly half of its heyday budget....

Here's the fact that matters.

The rest of this is entertaining, but a distraction.

Since the beginning of "Voodoo Exonomics" ( a George Bush Quote), where we cut taxes on the rich so that maybe some of their wealth will "trickle down" to the unwashed masses, we have now created such disparity, that statistically, the distribution is worse than in Europe under feudal kings.

In America today -
the top 400 people,(not corporations or families), the top 400 people,

possess more wealth than 160 MILLION Americans COMBINED.

Ponder that, 000,000,400 people are richer than 160,000,000 Americans combined.

That means for every $1.00 the working American has - the überrich person has $400,000,000.

Can democracy work under the system of feudal kings ?

President Barack Obama said the agency's misconduct was "inexcusable."

"Americans have a right to be angry about it, and I'm angry about it," Obama said.

"It should not matter what political stripe you're from. The fact of the matter is, the IRS has to operate with absolute integrity," the president said.

And yet here you are continuing to cling to one columnist's opinion as though it's your life preserver. And I addressed the points you repeated and showed them to be inaccurate or misleading. But that's okay, you keep living in your delusional little dream world that sees no danger in what is probably the most powerful government agency going after those who "criticize the government." -that was one of the phrases those "impartial" IRS employees were instructed to look for, after all. Instead of reading a columnist's opinion, why don't you read the IG report? Nah, you'll just look at it and say "nothing here, nothing here."
