Dang you sure hate the Mexicans don't you? I would bet you could add a few other people of a different color to that list to send away. Sad thing is they as a political power in this country already make more difference than southern conservatives like you. Maybe one day when karma comes to visit they will kick you back to the country of your ancestor’s. It’s what you deserve.
I'm chiming in because I made a tasteless joke, laughing while saying a maasive exodus of Hispanics to Venezuela (Chavez) would be good for America. I don't "hate" hispanics, I really dont. Especially the honest, good, hard workers who wish a better life for themselves and their families. Who in their good heart could not love those children?... On the flip side, I do recognize 11 million illegals help drain our already strained resources, resulting in overcrowding in schools, hospitals, prisons, courts, etc. Once those babies are birthed, they are entitled to free healthcare, WIC, food cards for as long as possible. Sometimes, for as long as they remain here.
I do not blame the Hispanics! I don't. I blame our government slackers who spend recklessly and waste billions but can't provide strict border control, as in a Homeland security plan. As bad as I hate to say it, along with those Hispanics coming to America seeking a better life, there are that many more who come to simply take advantage of our screwed up political system.
Who should come first???? Hardworking, taxpaying American citizens- not Hispanics, but we've had no choice to accept it. Our government has let us down in trillion$ of ways. It makes me sad.

A really good post Synergy. It was a little long considering that the Libs aren't going to read past the first paragraph. It is amazing the patience that you have typing all that knowing that you are not going to get through to them.
Their new tactic is to talk about Bush and Romney if they can get away with it. That tactic is look at what this hand is doing and don't look what the other hand is doing. It is what Obama does all the time and it seems to work with some people. I actually wonder if the Liberals actually believe this stuff they try to hand us, or if they just spout off trying to defend their bad decisions at the election booth. You can tell that they are suddenly not very happy as I think many now see the error in their judgement. I must say a little late now.
I agree. Excellent post, Synergy. I'm not a liberal, so I did read the whole post!

+1 Good post. They MUST be legal and pay taxes. Otherwise, see ya. Personally, I don't CARE how LONG they've been here. If they aren't legal and helping pay for the resources they are using, bye!

A good post. You are correct that our government has let us down. The government cares so little for its citizens there is a serious outbreak of a antibiotic resistant form of TB that is now in our country. It has almost reached epidemic stages in L.A. Calf. Of course it came from Mexico and is being spread by illegal aliens. These people cross our border and come into our country taking jobs, overcrowding our schools, jails and health facilities, which we pay for. Now they are endangering our very lives carrying lethal diseases into our country with the help of our own government.

Bull!! The end result of all AMERICANS again wanting something for nothing. Mexicans came here because WE gave them JOBS to do at a very CHEAP price. WE wanted the savings and what amounts to slaves to do our menial labor that no AMERICAN wanted to do. If you factor in the costs of everything the Mexicans “stole” from us in provided services, it was still a bargain. Even today with most Mexicans gone NO AMERICAN wants to sweat in watermelon fields for the amount of money paid. We blame everyone but US for the Mexicans and the housing bust. Fact is it was our GREED that made it ALL happen, and most of the blame goes to "baby boomers"!

Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, and the rest of that area are cesspools of deceit and treachery, always happy to allow others to fight their battles and provide billions in bribes. When the time is right, they inevitably turn on their benefactors, making their benefactors broke, foolish, and cuckolded.
Because imperialism makes bankers and traders even richer, they encourage us to forget the lessons of the past - this time will be different- and we repeat the debacles we swore would never be repeated.
Even Vietnam and 50,000 of our best and bravest dying, never taught us that Imperialism is very expensive, in blood and treasure. As multinational and American companies use Ho Chi Ming City for cheap labor to replace American jobs, we still don't learn.
I would disagree with you on much of the rest of your post, but the above has some very valid points, especially in terms of what will be left behind in terms of those in charge. But I would disagree with some of what you claim were the motivations. Also is terms of Vietnam - it was the middle of the Cold War and it is easy to forget the threat that communism posed at that time and how important is was to try and stop its spread. Had Johnson not been such an egomaniacal ass and had he allowed his military commanders to make decisions instead of making a policy of "they can't bomb an outhouse without my OK" the war could have very arguably been shorter, successful and far less costly in precious American lives.

Get over your obsession with Romney and his taxes, he paid what was legally required and actually paid more (as you acknowledged)- you have NO proof he paid no taxes in the prior years and to claim any such knowledge is to be as disingenuous as Harry Reid - though in Reid's case, I would just call him a liar.

However, if you and others intend to continue with your hard headedness about Romney, please show me your posts where you were railing against Tim Geitner for Sec of Treasury (also making him head of the IRS) for his tax fraud, that somehow he is able to SUCCESSFULLY defend by saying it was a problem with TurboTax. Let's see John Q Public get away with that excuse when he is audited. Or Obama's original pick for HHS, Tom Daschle, who somehow "forgot" to claim $1,000,000 in consulting fees, or Kathleen Sebelius, the current HHS, who owed back taxes and I could name more. These are people who actually DEFRAUDED the government of legitimately owed taxes and yet, with the exception of Daschle withdrawing his nomination (his only "penalty") the others are currently serving in the Obama administration. Heck, it was reported last July that federal employees owe almost $3.5 BILLION in unpaid taxes. But you continue to be hung up over a man who actually paid everything (and more) he was legally required to.

The U.S. Government tells us for the last 15 years that there are 12 million Illegal Mexicans in this country. Now the government says there 10 million illegal Mexicans in this country due to our poor economy. I would think by now that there are probably around 30 million scattered all across the U.S. That is what I think would be reasonable.
The U.S. Government openly admits that 7 million American jobs have been taken by these people. That figure is probably low also.
Just how many millions of these illegal aliens does it take to pick tomatoes? To pick watermelons?
Funny thing is when you go into a restaurant, fast food, Walmarts, Grocery chains, drug stores who is working there? Mexicans that is who. Who is doing the majority of the state and cities road work? Mexicans that is who. Who now controls most of the home building jobs? Mexicans that is who. They are no longer paid under what any other person would make for doing the same job. Their wages have gone up while American wages have decreased.
Working illegal aliens is no longer cheap as it once was.
Do I blame the illegal aliens that cross our border illegally to take our jobs and mooch of of us? Yes. Do I blame the greedy ,cheap people that used them for cheap labor? Yes.
Most of all I blame the politicians and the United States Government for allowing these people in the country in the first place. It is the Governments responsibility to guard our borders, control immigration but it has not done so.
Yeah, The U.S. guards borders in foreign countries such as S. Korea, and protects other countries by treaties but not ours.

+1 well stated, as usual...

However, IMHO, you're wasting your time with whom you are conversing. He/she doesn't understand (apparently) that we ALL have the same tax rates, ALL use the same tax forms (some use more forms than others, some use less) and the rationale for why capital gains rates are different than ordinary income tax rates.

All this anger and hate towards Romney? Perhaps Bain Capital transferred his/her job elsewhere???

BTW, FYI, the median household income in the US is somewhere around $50K per year, the tax rate on taxable income (giving no "benefit" for deductions, credits, etc.) of $50K was (for 2011) around 13.3%, which is below the capital gains rate. Oh yeah, around half the households in this country don't pay ANY federal income taxes. All that being said, this guy/gal has his obsession (as you say) with Mr. Romney and his tax "history". Makes no sense, does it?

Good post.

Illegals are here because employers want them here.- The employers get increased profits by paying artificially low wages.

Politicians get millions in contributions from the employers - so they won't enforce immigration laws or throw employers in jail for employing illegals.

The American working man loses.

One MUST also include UNIONS when complaining about companies hiring cheap labor. Unions price themselves out of the market by holding their companies hostage until they get their way. I am guessing there are MANY working class Americans who would LOVE to earn the wages that the union workers are receiving, but still aren't happy with. Without unions, the playing field for American workers would be equal. Politicians get millions in contributions from Union lobbiests. I realize we are talking about illegals, but we are also talking about jobs and cheap labor.

Mexicans come here because we pay dramatically more than they can earn in Mexico. So if you want to complain about wages perhaps you should talk to President Enrique Pena Neito. You're right that politicians want the illegals here (as long as you're talking about Democrat politicians.) Non-cuban Hispanics are voting Democrat with higher and higher percentages every election. And glorya is absolutely right about the overcrowding of our public schools and emergency rooms - especially in the southwest. It is harder and harder to find emergency rooms in some areas because they have had to shut their doors because the illegals who did not pay were bankrupting the hospitals. I also understand the impulse that leads so many to come here, they want a better life and to be able to better support their families. However, this country cannot afford it. And security wise, this country cannot afford it. It is INSANE that we have as porous a border as we do, it is an invitation for terrorists to come in through Mexico. Forget the illegal alien issue for a moment- our country's security demands a fortified border - fat chance.

And the unions love it when the minimum wage gets increased, most all labor contracts have their wages tied to the minimum wage. When the minimum wage gets increased, labor wages automatically get increased - no negotiating necessary. But it actually shrinks the job market for the unskilled.

Unions do not want competition in the labor market. Business has to compete for customers, they should be allowed a competitive market for labor as well.

Oh those poor corporate employers. Someone might sometime make them pay a living wage so that the taxpayers aren't providing the basics of life for their employees.

Why that might cause Apple to use some of the 137 BILLION dollars in cash,(yes, just one company has an extra 137 BIllion Dollars in cash laying around), to pay a decent wage and benefits.

Why that might make American corporations sitting on 1.7 TRILLION in cash from their exploding profits created by the most productive workers in the world to actually share some of those profits with the employees who created the profits.

Oh those poor poor corporations, like Disney, who cut benefits for the poor schmucks wearing Mickey Mouse costumes at the same time they paid 130 MILLION Dollars to Ovitz because he was such am incompetent buffoon they had to fire him;

or HCA when they paid now Rep. Governor Ruck Scott $300 Million to go away when they fired him, and were forced to pay back 2 Billion Dollars to the government as only part of the money they stole from the taxpayers when Scott was in charge;

or United Healthcare,( you know - the company that denies coverage automatically to see if you're willing to fight for benefits you paid for), when it paid McGuire 1.1 BILLION to go away when they fired him;

Oh, those poor poor corporations. Why if they have to pay Billions in bonuses to the executives they fire for screwing up, how can they possibly be expected to pay a living wage to their workers who actually do a good job.

And of course we all know that Unions got us all:

40 hour work weeks;
No child labor;
Holidays;
Vacation Days;
Pension Plans;
Safe Working Conditions;
Overtime Pay;
Health Insurance;
Medicare;
Social Security; and
Job Security.

Surely nobody who benefitted from all those union provided liberal socialist commie Democrap programs would object to unions.

That'd be as silly as Right Wing V.P. candidate Ryan, having collected Social Security as a child, attended college using government aid, and working as a government employee his entire adult life telling us all how folks receiving government checks are parasites,(unless they're checks to corporations).

Nope, nobody would take advantage of all those union created benefits then attack unions.

Keep a pinch of salt handy today because not everything you hear will be the gospel truth. Someone might have manipulated the facts to make them sound more acceptable, or they may have got carried away and forgotten to tell you something rather vital. Try to keep misunderstandings to a minimum by being as straightforward and honest as possible, and by not simply assuming that people know what you're talking about and therefore not bothering to explain properly.
