Who ever you vote for make sure they are healthy or that they have medical insurance. Unhealthy candidates can't do the work and will cost the county much tax revenue in medical expenses. Some candidates may just be looking for free medical insurance.

I dont consider him a crooked cop its just life. went paid my 165.00 to kingsland and move on.
So all this GOB bulldrap is what it is bullcrap. somepeople get breaks some dont its life

I would say he is one of two candidates who can do what you say. The other appears to be Shavon Gibbs.
It's a damned shame we do not have a viable, Camden County Damned Outsider Caucus so that we could meet and coalesce around one candidate.
Elitists unite!
your a fool jay. you still don't understand do you. When mention a place to eat peoples stomachs turn and you start to feel like you need to throw up! Then you read where the place closes! Any person you recomend for public office becomes the person the public won't vote for! Your a dung beatle jay you see!

It's only after you have been proven to be a square peg trying to jam yourself in a round hole are you qualified to be a member of the Camden County Damned Outsiders Caucus. Everyone else is a welcome citizen of Camden County.

Since you don't know much about the candidates I can tell you that the only candidate that is an active attorney and the sitting judge for the Kingsland Municipal Court. That is Robert C. Sweatt, Jr. He has been a judge for several years now and he is prepared to hold court the day after being sworn in. He had attended all of the same judges seminars and had the same annual judges training that Martin Gillette has had. This position is a whole lot more than the frivolous things being thrown around. It is about having the knowledge and training to do what must be done. The county will save thousands and thousands of dollars by not having to train any of the other candidates and postpone hearing dates until any other elected person ATTEMPTS to acquire the knowledge necessary to hold court. It is even hard to believe that any of the other candidates know what all this job will entail. However, Mr. Sweatt has run a very successful law practice. He has had his Trust account audited by any title insurance companies he has written for and there have NEVER BEEN ANY DISCREPANCIES IN THE HANDLING OF THE FUNDS HE HAS BEEN INTRUSTED WITH BY HIS CLIENTS. He is a fair and just man. And I know that if anyone wants to know who he is and what he stands for they only need to give his office a call and ask to speak with him or meet with him. Anyone that does this will definitely walk away feeling confident in the decision to place their vote for Robert Sweatt as Probate Judge for Camden County. When elected he is prepared to close his practice so that he can dedicate himself to the forthright service to the citizens.

I agree, we need someone who is healthy enough to handle the stress of being in the office and doing he work. We don't need someone who will be at the doctor's office or in the hospital.

So, does that mean that between his judge's salry and the medical insurance to cover his current and future morbidly obese health costs, he will actually be financially better off closing his "very successful law practice" and taking the judgeship and benefits?

Does anyone know why Jim Stein is so hell bent on putting this guy into office?

It took me all of two minutes after reviewing the final candidate list to see that Mr. Sweatt was the only truly qualified one of the bunch.

Where does the probate judge hold court or are you referring to municipal court? That may be a conflict.

Don't vote for me. I'm not in the running.

The small minded people that want to make comments about someone's health without knowing absolutely floor me. If you want to know the facts about a person the best way to get the answers is to ask them.

I have know Mr. Sweatt for over 12 years and I'm very familiar with his practice and his work ethic and it is impeccable.

Though he may be considered overweight, and really how many people posting on the forum aren't, he is very healthy and active. He works out several times a week. He often walks several miles at a time. He plays tennis and basketball. I was with him after the Mardi Gras parade and though we were all tired he was in much better shape than most of the people that walked with him. He can take it. He is responsible enough to have check-ups and he goes to the dentist regularly.

As far as giving up his practice, that is how dedicated he intends to be to the position of Probate Judge. He could keep it open but, he doesn't want to ever be pulled away from the responsibilities as Probate Judge, which will be his first priority.

Probate court is held at the Courthouse in Woodbine and always will be.

There is absolutely no reason that any matter to be heard in Kingsland Municipal Court would flow over into Probate Court so there is no conflict there.

I'm so glad I don't get my kicks by belittling other human beings. Remember that when you open yourself up by giving your thoughts about a person you leave the door open to be judged by others.

This truly is about the most qualified candidate and that's all that should matter. It would scare me to think that the average layperson could be placed in a position of such importance.

Hope to get a lawyer friend in Probate Court who will push business my way. I'm just hanging on by my finger tips. Running slip shod through them deceased's estates could be very lucrative.

He OBVIOUSLY has good teeth.

A BMI of > 40 is consideredd morbidly obese. Mine is 44. My guess is Beau's is closer to 50. Healthy he ain't.

He is a multi-million dollar health claim waiting to happen.
