Camden's culinary coup!

Ahhh...my fellow sophisticate. I was wondering what culinary adventure you would grace us with next. And you have not disappointed. Poulet roti, with a very interesting set of adornments. I am jealous!

By sheer chance, I too dined out this afternoon, and it so happens that I also chose chicken for my main course. Although I fear my experience will pale in comparison to yours, nonetheless I feel compelled to share it with you, if only to illustrate the difference between your refined palate, and my simple, if somewhat eccentric tastes.

Finding myself out of the local area on business, and not knowing where one could find a meal prepared by a genuine chef, I chose to dine at a local cafe that it quite popular among the local populace.

I ended up at a quaint little dine-in called "Jacque en Carton". And I must say I was very impressed with their menu: pizza, tacos, burgers, chicken, seafood, you name it. For such a small cafe, they certainly seemed to know their craft.

I ended up with their version of Chicken Cordon Bleu. I must say, they have a very interesting interpretation of the original! The chicken breast...at least that's what I think it was...appeared to have contained natural flavors at some point in the past. The breading was too burned to tell what the original source was, and the cheese somehow managed to extract itself from inside the breast and end up outside the breast, and the bun, and the wrapper. But I digress...

The bun was a very accurate representation of a french baguette: thin, lean, and harder than a marble.

For a vegetable, I took the house-recommended miniature potato cakes. They come attractively displayed in a grease-soaked paper sleeve. Speaking of grease, apparently they were out of clarified butter and olive oil, as it appeared that my portion was cooked in recently recycled lard. How original!

For dessert, I chose a delightful apple dessert, with a liquified apple-flavored syrup wrapped in a half-inch thick layer of chewy dough, and fried to the consistency of a Claxton fruit cake.

Unless I'm mistaken, I felt two of my major arteries collapse while I was eating.

Truly, I cannot wait to get home, back to the friendly confines of St. Marys, and back to cuisine such as what you so selflessly share with us.

As always, Bon Appetit'.

Apparently, I did get the discount. I did not ask for it. The owner's husband told me he had given me a 10% discount when he handed me the check. Yeah, yeah, "payola." Drop dead, ass.
Now, my credit card receipt shows $29.81.
I tipped $5.00.
That's a 16.77% tip. I knew it was more than my usually carefully calculated 15%, but she was deserving.
If you tell me that you ALWAYS tip, much less tip more , you are a damned liar. Your demonstrated "character" asures me of that.
You will not find a waitress on the plant who can honestly tell you I stiffed her on a tip, you scumbag.
A waitress on the "plant", you retard? Whats wrong with you? We aren't sucking sap with a bunch of aphids. Try "planet", Mensa reject.

You misspelled "assures" also, moron.

Sick of your fat a$$ correcting everyone.

Actually, our feedback to the Jaynius appears to be working. Recent posts have had scant nitpicking. If he returns, so will I.

Jay, I must admit I am perplexed. I don't understand your weird fixation with Ms. Kearns. Did she do something to you that only you know about? Did you try to "come on" to her and get rebuffed? Are you stuck at a level of emotional development that causes you to react like a 12 year old because you are infatuated? Or are you just jealous because she is so evidently more intelligent, more successful, more respected, and much better liked than you?

I don't even know where she went to college but, for whatever reason, you seem to. University of Guelph is a well respected school, yet you attack it simply because you believe it is Ms. Kearns alma mater. Not to knock our local schools, but Guelph is many steps above the community college you attended. Are you jealous because she has a real degree and you don't?

Whatever your problem with Ms. Kearns, your obsession with her is unhealthy. If you cannot resolve it on your own, you should consider getting professional help.

Weird Ol' Jay's been hanging around on Facebook again, looking for friends. It seems to drive him nuts (even more than his usual state) that Kearns is everything he isn't, never has been and never will be: highly educated, well liked and successful.
Julie's obsession with Kearns is just creepy. Is she the only woman he stalks or is this a pattern with him?

Jay has the saddest Facebook page I ever saw. A handful of friends (and most of them don't say "no" to anyone's request) and a bunch of Moreno's usual copy-and-paste racial garbage. There is one shot of his sad looking little dog. The whole thing is just pitiful.

Actually, I don't ("wink, wink, know what I mean, know what I mean") know what you mean. I graduated from a state university in the good old USA. As I said, I don't know where Ms. Kearns went to university but you evidently think you do. I assumed that I was writing in a manner that you would be able to understand. I will try again.

1. I am not Ms. Kearns
2. I did not go to the University of Guelph.
3. You, Jay Moreno, think Ms. Kearns went to the University of Guelph.
4. The University of Guelph is a good school.
5. You said bad things about the University of Guelph.
6. You said them because you do not like Ms. Kearns and you think she went there.
7. Ms. Kearns is a good person.
8. Ms. Kearns did not do anything to make you not like her.
9. You do not have a good reason to not like Ms. Kearns.
10. If you do not like someone for no good reason, you are sick in the head.
11. If you are sick in the head, you should try to get well.
12. You should go to a doctor to get well.

If you still can not understand, I will try to get a fifth grader to explain it to you.
