Word got out that they were out of their gourmet, uncured bacon that is only available from the gourmet division of the finest restaurant food supplier in North Florida. Scratch that; the finest restaurant food supplier in the United States of America.

Look like B&no-B is attempting a run at my record of staying open the longest with an empty parking lot.

Not a chance, they will like all the others before them, close their doors and disappear silently into the night.

Fuji has some raison d'etre unrelated to profit from food sales.

Went for the first time about a week or so ago. I was not overly impressed with my sandwich - I ordered the Chicago style Italian beef, dipped in the au jus. It was honestly a bit bland. The peppers served with it helped it a little, but I wouldn't order it again. I also ordered a side of cole slaw, which I didn't care for at all.(Just my opinion, everyone has a different opinion on what 'good' cole slaw is)

Having said that, the staff was great. Although I wasn't impressed with the first meal I had there, I do intend on going again tomorrow for lunch. I do wish them success, and am looking forward to a lunch that I can honestly 'rave' about.

Their burgers, fish sandwich and Croque Monsieur are all great.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have heard a lot of great reviews about the burgers, so I think that's what I'll try tomorrow.

I agree on the coleslaw. I've never liked coleslaw that is sliced on a meat slicer or cut in a food processor so that you have a bowl full of hard-to-eat rings of cabbage.

Southern coleslaw - the best on Earth - is grated. It's all about the texture and the ability to taste the great taste of freshly grated cabbage without it being completely overwhelmed by the mayo, vinegar, and sugar. Don't like pickles in it either. "Coleslaw dressing" is crap. St. Marys Seafood and More has really crappy coleslaw. Huge rings with crappy "dressing." That's a no-no for a seafood restaurant

Aunt B's has excellent cole slaw as does Sonny's. Both have exactly the right grind and "mouth feel." Missy's in Yulee is also exceptional.

Remember when Shoneys used to put a touch of horseradish in their cole slaw. That was excellent.

Some evening for supper, try the Poulet Roti with Wild Mushrooms. It is outstanding!

Check out the photos of this weeks "winning new sandwich" on their Facebook page. It's like a mega, multi-decker Dagwood. Instead of toothpicks, it is all held together with two table knives!

You're correct, A-hole.

They get everything from the "Chef Ex" gourmet and imported division of Sysco.

http://www.sysco.com/customer-solutions/sysco...

That's why they will not just pop over to Walmart or Kingsland Meats when they run out of something.

That's a good thing, you effing clod.

St. Marys Seafood and More has excellent cole slaw. I also like Sonny's, KFC, and Chick Filet's. They may not all be alike, but they are very good in their own right.

What happened to Bistro and Brew? They are slipping badly. There is not nearly the traffic for dinner that there was a month ago. Larry needs to wear long sleeved shirts. Tattoos in a restaurant on the servers or food prep people just completely kill my appetite.

One other thing about ol Larry. The last time I was at B&B, I pulled into a parking space very near the front door. Before my wife was out of the vehicle, Larry comes barreling in before my wife got her door open all the way. He damn near took the door off my car. It really ticked my off and then I reasized it was Tattooed Larry, in a huge hurry. The dummy just couldn't wait until we had exited the car.

What was your hurry, Larry? Did you have to run out for some gourmet coffee grounds at Publix?

I see.

So, if you go to the B&B and you are fortunate enough not to be run over by Larry in the parking lot, you will be put off of your meal by his tattoos.

Got it.
