Enjoy "Comp Guy".

The ambiance of Cracker Barral will do just fine while dining on two dinners of filet of haddock for $25.

We would love to spend $100 for dinner with wine but either Keating needs to bring jobs here or we will have to find a way to become Comp Guys and Gals.

Looks like I'll be sticking with the barrel.

But if you do find a server who has been smoking plant, they surely won't remember what he tipped.

Hmmm......"waitress on the plant"...... and why you gonna go all bad and sue this one and that one for a comment that hurts your feelings? It's not like you haven't skewered a few individuals right here on this very blog site. And just out of curiosity weren't you banned from posting on this site? Most of the people I have seen you state were slated for the wrath of Jay (after you sell daddy's house of course) posted subsequent to your ban from this site.

Now I have not nor will I ever make a disparaging comment about your disability. That said, at times (too frequently) your rants and self inflated arrogance bring upon you the comments that sometimes stray into personal jabs at your situation.

I'm not an attorney, but I don't think you have a snowballs chance in hell of ever getting off the ground with a suit of any kind from banter here on topix. You are the most vocal member here.....what is it now, 13000 plus posts since your ban? And more than half of them attacks on peoples character.

Claiming that a man is a member of NAMBLA or contaminates restaurants or cheats clients and so on is beyond the pale and actionable.

Now, I have just reviewed the above paragraph. It is perfect. Any errors will be the result of it being changed AFTER I posted it by someone who now has that ability.

Agreed. That Cracker Barrel slab of haddock is delicious. Try dousing it in malt vinegar then dipping it in a little tarter sauce. I know - it sounds like overkill but it is absolutely delicious. Their cole slaw goes quite well with that, as do their signature pinto beans and turnip greens chock full of ham.

By the way, two CB haddock dinners with teas and taxes will run you about $30.00 plus a $4.50 tip.

The best seafood deal in the house is the Friday night fish fry with fried cod "fingers," cole slaw, and home fries ( I substitute pinto beans) for under $10.00.

No.

Have you ever tried hot sizzling fried haddock tossed onto a newspaper doused with malt vinegar and salt then fried chips (fries) added? Immediately tightly wrapped so the steam has time to do its magical work. Add a pint of Tennents Lager to that and you will believe there is a heaven.

No, I haven't but Sarah, my Scottish housekeeper swears by "fish 'n' chips."

I wonder if you end up eating a bit of newspaper ink with every serving?

Maybe that's the "magic". If so give me a double portion of ink!

I'm assuming Sarah might have roots in the Dunoon vicinity. A wonderful place where women can enter a shop while leaving the young ones outside in their carriages without a worry.

She's from Glasgow. Don't know if that is in the Dunoon region.
Her dad brewed Guinness.

However, she has actually mentioned that when her daughter was young and she was in Scotland, she used to leave the baby outside in her pram while shopping and dining.
