Quoting James Ham about storm preparation in today's T&G: "We can catch that water and maybe build another water tank... California has all these fires going on. They could use some water. So these are things that we could do to be prepared.... There's gotta be a way that we can catch that water and use it and then we all win."

Someone needs to tell this poor misinformed man that the "water" is not just WATER. It is SEWAGE. Raw, untreated, bacteria-laden, shite-loaded, pizzy SEWAGE. It comes UP in manholes, toilets, bathtubs and even sinks when the sewage lift pumps stop working. They stop working because there are not enough stand-by power plants to keep them running during power outages. Even when the power is on, the pumps get overloaded because the sewer system has a lot of ways that storm water can infiltrate the sanitary sewer pipes. All of this is due to poor design, a lack of maintenance, and not upgrading the system. This is a classic case of INCOMPETENCE in the leadership of the city.

NO, Mr. Ham, you do not want to build a tank to hold it for some imaginary "win-win" use. You want it to go into the sewage treatment plant as quickly as it can to be treated. Folks, the laws of physics still apply, in spite of what the members of the City Council think... the sewage in those pipes will seek the lowest point of gravity. Thus, when someone's house is LOWER than the sewage in the pipes and holding sumps, the sewage will back-flow into their home, without fail. Every. Time.

No, Mr. Ham, It can't be transported across the country to California to put out fires because that is not practical for any number of reasons. Never mind the FACT that it would be a literal "drop in the bucket" even if it could be ECONOMICALLY and practically transported across 3,000 miles and a mountain range. The EPA would NEVER permit this to happen. Even if you could get it over to California, who would want a planeload of crap dropped on their home?

I sympathize with the good people of our sister city, Kingsland. You have a real problem on your hands. There's a lot of crap to be dealt with. Some of it is at the top....And we all know that "shite rolls downhill."

Ham is bat sh!t crazy! I watched the debate and he is a bumbling mess. Galloway seems like a rational guy with a brain, but let's face it...an actual ham is a better choice than the Ham the man at this point. No ham and no more hippos! The city can't take anymore brainless idiots.

Galloway is a POS and will not stand a chance of winning, can't wait to see him get spanked, just like when Day tries to run for Mayor, can't wait to see him get Blunt-ed just like his old buddy Alex.
