Over the past several days I have been reading on the topix and Sun Sentinal about the fear of AIDS transmission in strip lounges after thinking about this I do believe I have a theory. I will try to be as tasteful as possible. A woman usually has her menses {monthly period} about one week a month give or take a day I imagine these working girls cannot take a week off month so I assume they work while having it. Tampax, while fairly good does have its share of leaks and accidents especially during the first few days if these girl are dancing nude and bleeding I imagine if blood got on a customer during a dance or some kind of interaction YES its possible to transmit it this way since the virus lives in blood, semen, vaginal fluids and saliva this is a way to transmit it, asking my sister who is a RN said its also possible most Doctors tell AIDS patients no interaction while menustrating this just occured to me and its seems very possible if the virus is in blood this could easily happen.

On the other hand if a customer is infected he could easily infect a dancer is she is bleeding vaginally becaus via the route of semen and blood. Perhaps this is what is happening. I know women who have their monthly's do normally work but in this line of work I would say its NOT safe to work to infect someone the girls must be dancing because of money and non-understanding bosses this must go on all the time in places.

I know this was a iffy subject I tried to be as tasteful and non-graphic as possible in describing this. After researching this it is possible for a woman to infect a man especially during her week long period if he has open lesions any where on his body this could do it. I hope this helps clear up the confusion and it helps someone out there to not get sick, please be careful for these places can cause sickness.

You know I never thought of that it makes perfect sense. I am a woman and this is entirely possible. Wearing tampons is not going to stop blood from seeping and leaking,, "been there done that" why are they allowed to work when losing blood a bodily fluid that we know carries the aids virus? I can see how infection is transmitted. Its no wonder the police are raiding these places, the health dept should shut them down. If these women are bleeding, touching customers this is really disgusting and dangerous. I am amazed palm beach county does not have stricter guidelines codes and enforcments regarding this, people have to be protected. If I were a guy I would never walk into a place like this, not be caught dead. "dead" being the operative word here. These guys are playing with their health and lives. The dept of health needs really to step in here and stop this.

why is the board of health not inspecting and closing these places down??? They monitor resturants very very closely, which is good, but they really need to crack down on these strip places. Customers may be getting diseases and taking them home and infecting innocent lives, children could get this. Why does the health board close its eyes to this, is it because they think the people who work there and go there are scum and do not matter, well it matters especially since this is not contained within the bar it reaches further out to the public. I am going to call the board of health tommarow and find out why they do not inspect or test people who work in these bars, from what I have read on this fourm they sound dirty and disease-ridden. I will post back tomm and let you know if I got some answers. This cannot keep going on.

I'd be really interested in the answer to that question from the health department. It seems like they inspect every place but those bars. I think that is a rather big mistake on thier part and we will pay the price for it.

Waiting for an answer from the health dept I am supposed to get a call back from them. I hope I do soon I really would like to know why they allow these dirty diseased "dancer's" to infect customers over and over again. They did say they have complaints concerning cleaniness and violations, will post as soon as call back comes.

I think we are pretty much in agreement regarding how stripper's are unclean, dieseased and pitiful. Also that the customers are foolish brainless and spend money to catch something but one thing that has not come up is this.........

What about the OWNER'S are they not just a guilty if not more so I would say they are the real villans here. I would bet money that they are not touching or sleeping with the these women so they are not concerned with disease also its not thier money that is going all over its the customers and please don't forget all their kickbacks the only ones that are NOT going broke or getting AIDS are the owners, just the dancers and men tht go there. They go home everynight with pocketful's of money laughing all the way to the bank, do you think they CARE about people getting diseases or going broke or addicted to drugs or arrested for selling them, not only do they not they encourage and condone it because its more money for themm they are not going to stop the spread of diease or drugs in thier clubs that would stop the money flow and if thier employee's and customers get sick or die in the process they do NOT care its "show me the money" they are the true scum promoting diease and drugs for profit only they are not getting a diesease or drug-addicted only everyone around them and they are profiting from it. This is criminal and they continue to do so without remorse or guilt.

I encourage everyone to contact youre local police dept, health agency, and city commision, we cannot stand back and let innocent young people get the HIV virus and drug-addicted while the owners and managers of these hell houses become rich from it. Only the owners are happy and profiting, they must be held accountable for thier actions thier dancers and customers get sick, go broke, get arrested or hooked on drugs and they get rich?! Boynton beach realized this we can only hope other cities follow and I believe they will. They allow people to pass diesease back and forth while they make money, the owners should be arrested, locked in jail and closed down. They are the reason this is going on and it wont stop till they are stopped.

Valid point Tropical but along with this women must stop degrading themselves to work for these sneaky crooks and men must stop going to the places and catching diesease and drugs. This to I think will dry up their business and the money they make. Its sick that they laugh all the way to the bank while all around them others crumble. There must be a way to stop them from this.

I am still waiting for a call back from the Florida Dept of Health with answers to my questions. It seems as through they do little to investigate these places like they do restaurants, schools, etc..... They probably figure anyone who is stupid enough to work or go in there does not matter and deserves what they get, which I hope they do NOT think because I am sure that is not true especially for the the girlfriends and wives and kids of these fools who actually walk into such a disease ravaged place. As soon as I get some definate answers I will post back. If they are NOT investigating these diseased places they better darn well start!

They most likely will not call you back Vista because that would entail them investigating and as you mentioned noone wants to have to walk into those places if they do not absoulutly have too. Reports of VD are going unreported because I am sure these men are ashamed and humiliated if they caught something its not something they wish to go public about, I just hope they are getting treated and not spreading it too normal decent women in their lives. For the health dept to turn its head is shameful this is not going to just go away, the health dept along with the Police dept need to attend to this. These places are virtual breeding grounds for narcotics, aids and crime.

I certainly do not wish any disease on anyone but if you are ignorant and desperate enough to walk thru the doors of these filthy shit holes that employ druggie dieseased sluts I dont know what to tell you?? Certainly you guys think more of yourself and your health and bodies to chance this? These women who work there should be tested and quarintined if infected, God knows how many foolish men they have transmitted too. What a horror story!!!

Give me a break? The solution to this problem is simple -- men, don't go to strip joints and if you do don't touch the sluts that work there.

I just ran across this discussion. My Uncle use to be a bouncer in one of these clubs here, he did it for extra money till his business took off, he ain't proud of it but he did it. The places are pretty much skank sewers he says and he was amazed the dudes paid the money. Also he let me in on a little secret the ads you see in the newspapers for the strip bars are usually bogus, another words he said the owner would call a modeling agency and hire a real good lookin busty blonde and take some picture and run the ads in the papers, usually the sports sections, trouble was this model never did or will work for the bar she was just hired for one day for pictures, so technically I guess you could say she worked there for one day but never longer just to take pictures not to dance or work. She didnt have to lower herself to actually work there just made money taking a few pictures.

These guys see the ads and think "Wow" but when they get there they are usually greeted by saggy haggy worn out ex-prostitutes barely off the street. It is false advertising but leagal because for one day the hot blonde worked there but no longer. That kind of sucks dont it?

My Uncle never messed with any of them he said they lived with bikers and pimps and were so drugged out they could barely move, and he got some kind of "lice" while working there because of the unsanitary conditions, not VD because he never did anything with the strippers but it still was a itchy bitch to get rid of finally.

The strip bars are a scam and ripp off and most guys no it, grow up and spend there hard earned money elsewhere. My Uncle said one stripper actually got license plate numbers had one of her friends at the DMV run em and tried to blackmail the customers, the girls treat the customers like crap but I guess its probably visa versa too.

Just thought I would let you in on some inside info, interesting discusion I guess West Palm beach has some pretty nasty nudies it aint worth getting a disease over. Some of the other posters brought up the health dept--GOOD question why aren't these place checked? I'd like to know the answer to that one, if these places are making people sick the Health Dep needs to intervene.

I am real glad I dont live in West Palm Beach Florida! My God I cant believe law enforcement and health agencies let this go on! Hurricanes, heat, high cost of living, and now prositutes allowed to infect customers and get away with it. I will stay in PA, Florida sounds just awful.

Well no big surprise here. The Florida board of health never called me back?! When my friend last year called about a restaurant she got a call back the same day! I guess they really do NOT care and is shameful and sorryful that they allow this transmission of VD and god knows what else and turn their heads. I tried!

Well it surprises me. Perhaps the health agencies in the state of Fl do not care because they figure "only scum work there and drink there" Which I am not going to argue whether thats true or not, only what about the children of these women who prostitute themselves there or the wivesw and kids of the customers who come down with VD or AIDS are they scum?? do they count??Perhaps when some VD related lawsuits start then they will do something when the money has to start rolling out. At least when customers start to sue they will go belly-up and close down then perhaps will will all be safe again.
