Sure, right, guns are American's best idea. Except when you consider facts.

Texas. 21 Oct. 5-year old shoots self with .40 cal. sitter left unattended.

NC. Last week. 2-year old shoots self dead with unattended gun.

CA. This week. 13-year old, carrying a pellet gun, shot 11 times by police when he turns to hear what they were saying.

NV. This week. 12-year old kills teacher, wounds others, kills self. Brings gun from home.

OR. This week. 11-year old brings gun and 400 rounds to school from home.

FL. Three weeks ago. 2-year old shoots self with .45 cal. unattended.

And on and on and on...

All guns from "responsible gun owners" of course, of course.

703 children under the age of 15 died in accidental firearms deaths between 2001 and 2010, the latest year for which data are available, and 7,766 children under 14 were shoot accidentally. Enough already!

Are you ready for some reasonable gun laws now? Like maybe gun locks for when weapons are not in use. How many kids will we let die before we pass that one, simple, inexpensive, intelligent law.

Reasonable gun laws are ok in my book as long as they don't infringe on y second amendment rights to own one.
A person needs protection.

I'm with you on reasonable laws. Trigger guards are a good first start. But they got to be good ones. I used to take the ones my dad used off with those metal corncob holders prongs in 2 seconds flat. Kids love guns. Kids will always find guns. Lock em up with you're not out shooting and lets save some lives.

I'm not with you on protection if that includes CC. I think that's a ruse. Do you really need a .38 for a trip to Lowes or Winn Dixie? Of course not. CC just lead to more trouble if you ask me.

Thanks, but I did not ask you.

The fact is that you NEVER know when and where you might need to be armed.

Have there been shootings in Lowes, Walmarts, McDonalds, colleges, or in the their parking lots? Churches?

In fact, can you name a single type of business or location in the in the U.S. where there have NOT been crimes in which the victim might be alive today had they elawfully armed?

But the TRUTH is, Hanks got a way better chance of winning the lottery twice in a row before he'd get shot in Lowes. Get real and grow up, life in Camden County, Georgia is not that terrifyingly dangerous.

It's not your call. Most of us will fight to the death against your attempts to disarm us and invalidate the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution. What you don't understand is the 2nd Amendment is part of our Constitution specifically for the purpose of protecting us from would be tyrants like you communist, Reed, Pelosi and the Obummerites. The bottom line is we hate and distrust you more than you hate and distrust us. The difference is we will fight you on any field of battle to protect our right of self defense against your storm troopers, i.e. welfare thugs.

Actually, it is our call. We vote things in and out and up and down all time in this country. All kinds of restrictions and mandates and limitations and restrictions are placed on the citizenry. Your interpretation of our living Constitution may not be the same as mine. We had one nut on here once saying the government had no right to restrict him from owning a surface-to-air missile. Can you spell, C.R.A.Z.Y. And all that business of "fight you on any field of battle" bla bla bla is just a load of manure. You'll comply with the law or face jail on the gun issue and all others issues in this country cause that's how it works in our great country. Choose your own path there buddy, on top of the grass or underneath it, but you don't get to willy-nilly endanger the rest of us because your too afraid of going out of the house unless you're packing heat.

You ignorant ass, do you have a clue what the law requires of concealed carry holders?

How many time have you seen any of the over 600,000 licensees in Georgia alone waving their weapons around in Lowes or any place else. That is called brandishing and is illegal.

How, in what, and where you carry a concealed weapon are also strictly regulated.

Criminals don't have concealed carry permits: law abiding patriots do.

As to "trigger locks" would you jack\asses put locks on fire extinguishers, defibrillators, and any other thing needed when it's need on an EMRGENCY basis?

Damn Commie-Lib fools, you might think you can use the boiling-a-frog technique to eventually disarm all American patriots, but you are in for one helluva rude awakening..

I guess that if the police did not carry guns we would have no problem.

First of all I'm not your buddy and I've chosen my path. I'd rather put vermin like you under the grass than give up my freedoms. I believe like General Patten, I'd rather my enemy die for his beliefs. If you don't like the 2nd Amendment get your wimpy ass our of the United States while there is safe passage for communist tyrants like you. You will never establish a communist or Nazi state in the United States. Those of us who have fought overseas for this country fought for our freedoms under the Constitution. I've no aversion whatsoever against fighting for those freedoms here at home if the need ever arises.

VV: See Anon's and Jay's notes above to the current gun restrictions you live under now. And certainly other changes will come. It's called life. We all adjust. The Republican Party you've chosen to hang your hat on is a good one. But it is one is in decline because of words such as yours scarring the bejesus out of normal folks. If you want to do us a big favor and help the party, please tone it down.

Stick it in your ear fellow traveling RINO. Because of spineless wimps like you I don't hang my hat on either of the two major political parties. The fading leadership of the old Republican party is no better than the entrenched communist leadership in the new democratic party. Clueless, gutless and selfish idiots like you have brought this great country to the eve of it's slide into destruction.

The ass most likely hit will be you. If you have any brains at all, it will be a door. Otherwise...? Your dilemma, you are not wanted here and no country will allow you in, because you have nothing to offer.

America remains the most corrupt country in the world despite a shrinking majority of its citizens being hardworking and honest. Our government is now controlled by an unlikely coalition of communist, Wall Street Crooks, scumbag politician, insurance companies, lying economist on the federal reserve banks, baby mama's and pimps. Loon Watch, if you will pull your head out of your ass and look down; you'll see we are being pulled down in an accelerating clockwise swirl.

If you want to see America's future, look at what is left of the late great USSR and the British Empire. Both were brought down by large corrupt governments promising more than they could deliver.
