Not only that, I dont know many military people that would talk that way. Of course, he is using an alias.
HAHA where have you been? Do you really believe military folk are saints? Wow, just wow is all I can say sir. I have seen more bad things happen, or caused by military personnel in my 6 years of being an enlisted man. i could tell you stories that would make you cringe.

I do!! her daughter and her daughters adopted grandson has been turning her in for the past 7 yrs. and not helping her. She does go to drs. and she does bathe. At 12:30 a.m. 2 months ago her daughter had kicked her out into the streets. Waunita has been trying to things on her own and her son has been taking her where she needs to go and with some food. Her grandson took her in but can't have the cats. I wash her laundry and will be helping with what I can and her son, grandson, and grandsons girlfriend. so get the facts first. It was waunitas daughter who can't help. Let's talk about the fact her daughter just moved into a condemned trailer and waunita's daughters adopted grandson lives without water gas and proper plumbing because he's too damned lazy to get out and get a job!! They are too busy turning in defenenseless elderly people because they think they will get something! Let's leave her alone and dog out her daughter and her daughters family. It was not false advertisement. She wants to be with her home and cats!! and her son too. Big deal!! Let her, after we can get this home built back up. She deserves it after serving this community for most of the time she's been here!!

Her son lives right next to her and has for years, he does nothing to help her. He takes her money and lets her live this way! She has a son and daughter who would be more than happy to help her but she refuses to leave the son that lives there. All of you who keep saying the family needs to help, well we would love to but we will not help her one son who does nothing all to take care of her. We want her living somewhere clean and nice. We love her, but we are angry that so many people will sit and judge us not knowing the story. I could go forever about it, but I will not. We are not aweful people, we are people who do not want to help a man that takes advantage of his own mother. He will take any money she is given to help with house, and he will use it for himself and she will still have a condemned home. All I am saying is before you want to put down my family you need all the facts. We love her.
why can't the family at least do the repairs and clean the house, so what if the son lives there, the mother is more important so don't let pride and anger toward the son stop the family from doing for the mother.

Well put!
Many people DO know the truth of this situation. Praying she is removed from the "squatter sons" grasp. Then the rest of the family will be able to come together for her.
To others out there who do not really know the story; THIS MAN IS A CANCER!!!!
Why punish the mother, if the authorities want to take action, take it against the son. DHS should remove him if they want to protect the mother. Then her house could be restored, cleaned and the lady could live out her remaining years in peace with her cats.

Why couldn't her community and surrounding areas help the poor women clean and fix what needs to fixed. Donate the time and money. We give millions of dollars for people overseas, why not here in oklahoma!
Most of the community doesn't even know where her house is. It's in a part of Kingfisher that people don't know about unless they live there or live pretty close to there. Since most people don't know about that area, they can't know about her house. I have lived in Kingfisher practicaly my whole life and I didn't know about it. Now thanks to Channel 4 getting involved most of the community knows.

Her house is in really bad shape. When my boyfriend and I saw this on the news we knew that we had to do something about it. We have a list of 37 people so far to help us along with others on the repair of her home. We are Seniors at Kingfisher High School and we got these signatures in one day. We are only one of many groups that are going to be working on her house. All we have to do is wait for the city to call me back so that we can make a plan and get all of the groups on the same page. Mrs. Wright's house will definately be taken care of. I'll be sure of that. If you know of anybody that would like to help my e-mail is [email protected] Just have them contact me and I'm sure that we could put them to work.:)

GEE... I wonder who the nosey neighbor (that turned this poor lady in) is?
Concerned Former Neighbor wrote:
Mrs Wright has a son & his girlfriend with her on this property. Why do they not see to her needs? They are not employed and have nothing but time. They have been there for years. So, why is the house so filthy? Mrs Wright refuses help from her other children because she does not want her grown son left behind. The shame is on him. The family, neighbors, DHS & America are not responsible for this situation. Mrs Wright needs to be removed for her own health & safety. Of course she will miss her home & cats, but seriously do you really think renovation or even a new house would fix this? Again, her son has been with her for years. Where was he when the news truck rolled up? After all, I figure this story was his idea. Before we are so quick to dog this family, community, etc. does this lady even go to the doctor? Does she eat & bath regularly? Be careful when assuming another action is best. We do not know the whole story.

I completely agree with Ann here... Sounds like abuse of the elderly by the son. So oust him and let the community care for her. Sounds like she has better family in all of us than her own children! Sad Sad Sad

Ok! All of you bashing my family, I have had enough. This woman is my grandmother and I do love her, but like some of you have said get rid of the son. If he were gone we would be down there, but until he is we will not help him. If that house is repaired great, but it will be for him and his girlfriend. We are not providing them a home, they live in a little shed that has an electicity cord running from my grandmothers home to his shack. She pays the bill not him, while he sits on his *** and does nothing. How dare you say her family doesnt love her.And until you know us you can not say that. That house holds alot of memories some good some bad. It is hard for some of us to be near that house, but we would do it for her. We will not help her son. My dad is her other son, and for many years he and his wife took care of her home and yard. It is very hard for him to be around that house. He lived right next door until 13 years ago, and he couldnt stay do to my brothers death. We are good poeple and all you who want to bad mouth us you have no idea what my family has gone through.
I am not saying the city should have the right to condemn her home. I am saying get her somewhere safe, clean and away from her son. Or better yet get the son gone so the family that will take care of her can.
