Well if a single 7-11 can make $92000.00 for MDA in a couple of weeks, then whats the problem? Set up a fund and help the lady out.
At least she is here legally, look at the money being pumped into illegal aliens! This is where society is screwed up!

This is a perfect example where people that REALLY need help need to be helped! She's not sitting around on her big, fat lazy butt having kid-after-kid and not working. She is an elderly woman who could really use assistance. She should be able to stay in her home with her cats AND be safe. If everyone pitches in, then it should be possible.

Why couldn't her community and surrounding areas help the poor women clean and fix what needs to fixed. Donate the time and money. We give millions of dollars for people overseas, why not here in oklahoma!

Where are her kids? But, it sure would make good press if some local businesses could hook her up, and medicare/medicade help out with weekly visits. This wouldn't have been a problem back when everyone helped each other out. I.E. Barn raisings and harvest time. It is a shame that there isn't anyone to help her on a regular basis. Again - where is her family?

Where in the name of God are people with the tools, lumber, and an account set up at a bank for donations to save this poor old woman's house? Where are her children? Why aren't they trying to help their mother? What has happened to the families of today? It appears that if you don't fit into your child's life the way they want you too, they just forget you. I know what it is like to live on a fixed income. It's not much fun. There is very little left for repairs and replacement items.

I hope someone will help save this home for the lady and her cats.

Our government needs to LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE!!!! It's HER house! She likes it!! Neighbors, Help her for heavens sake!!!!! DON'T thow her out and demolish her life because some "do gooder" needs to "help." Why didn't the person who turned her in just help her? Let me know who to talk to. I will give the first 100.00, and free labor.

In Noble Oklahoma, the community had a similar situation with a woman who had lived all her life in this house. the house was too old for repairs, so the city moved her to a mobile park, tore the old house down and build a small new home for her. She was thrilled when she got to pick out the color of carpet. Kingerfisher community can do the same..it just takes one person to step up and suggest this be done. I pray Kingerfisher will do just that. Our elderly need to be taken care of not dumped into the street like trash.

I pray to God that KFOR will use their contact skills and ask for the help that this lady honestly needs. No one has the right to toss her out of her home. It belongs to her! KFOR, Please Help This Poor Lady Out.....

people are scared to help others. most people just don't want to get involved and that is sad. i remember a time where people would go out of there way to help anyone out. now people look the other way and turn someone in for anything they don't like. this person that turned this lady in needs to get off his / her ass and help save this home.

You know, there are two sides to every story and the news only gave one. Before you start passing judgment you really should know both.

Mrs Wright has a son & his girlfriend with her on this property. Why do they not see to her needs? They are not employed and have nothing but time. They have been there for years. So, why is the house so filthy? Mrs Wright refuses help from her other children because she does not want her grown son left behind. The shame is on him. The family, neighbors, DHS & America are not responsible for this situation. Mrs Wright needs to be removed for her own health & safety. Of course she will miss her home & cats, but seriously do you really think renovation or even a new house would fix this? Again, her son has been with her for years. Where was he when the news truck rolled up? After all, I figure this story was his idea. Before we are so quick to dog this family, community, etc. does this lady even go to the doctor? Does she eat & bath regularly? Be careful when assuming another action is best. We do not know the whole story.

This is ridiculous. Kingfisher should be ashamed to kick this poor lady from her home. They should figure out how to fix it, instead of tearing it down. C'mon someone step up. Some construction company or something. Where are these so called good Christians? You all have time for stupidity, and tea parties, but can't help people who are really in need.

This woman is not a lazy welfare slut. She is old and frail and probably not functioning with full mental facilities. What is there to be afraid of? Remember what goes around, comes around. I am just as strapped as the next person, but I will donate to help her out. I wish I was able to do more. At least I do help my Momma and Pop when ever I can.

This is rediculous!! Outcry here... If this were my mother, I would take her in if I had the capability to, and to take care of her. If I could not, and this were the only property and place she had to stay in her name, those idiots would have to kill me before they could desicrate my mothers home. Screw them and their inconsiderate ways. She obviously lives the way she wants to, and she cares about the animals because that is all she has. If this is not good enough for the rest of the city, then someone needs some serious help. And BTW, it is for sure not her (Wright). Family needs to step in here and keep these goons off her back and help her out too. Letting this go on is just sick.

How many times does God hear the prayer, "Lord please help him/her, because I'm not going to"? Kingfisher is full of churches. I hope they won't ALL be saying that prayer next Sunday.

Thanks for the information, so there is a reason for this and family needs to get her to the doctors, etc. The headline was misleading!! I still believe that we all would better off if we were able to care what happens to our neighbors without condemnation.
