As the old saying goes, "If it's too good to be true, it usually is."

Folks often fall into these traps when the enter a drawing, usually at a mall or some type of show (car show, outdoor show, boat show, fishing expo, etc.) to win a new car/truck/boat. What actually is happening is that it gives the OK for telemarketers to contact those who entered the "contest". Therefore, it defeats the purpose of the "Do Not Call" list. Buyer beware.

Oh crap. I just entered a raffle for a washer and dryer at the mall. I guess I'm just as dumb as the rest of them.

There is no easy way to get things in life. If something cost $15,000 and someone tells you they can get if for you for $3,000 then walk away. A stranger is not going to give you something for nothing. I feel bad for these folks but in this world it has always been and always will be "Buyer Beware"

What idiots. In this day and age, there is no reason for people to fall prey to this scams. They knew to call NBC10 afterwards, when they could have called them prior to have this company checked out and save themselves a ton of money. I don't feel sorry for them one bit.

This is aweful. Is there not a way that the couple would be able to go down to the police station and lookk mugshots to see if maybe they might be able to identify the crook. I think it's a shame -- something needs to be done. I know people should be careful - but isn't there anything that can be done? Our senior citizens work all their lives and when the moment comes to enjoy themselves - this. My prayers are with them at this time. I pray that God moves on that persons (Crooks) heart to give back what isn't his.

Tanner these people aren't idiots. They are my parents and I did check the Better Business Bureau before they signed anything. There were no negative comments about them. I even spoke with the company while visiting because I am a travel agent.
So before you go calling anyone an idiot perhaps you should look in the mirror.

Cab- There were so many employees involved with this scam it was unbelieveable. You'd call and speak to 1 person and then go there to see that person face to face and he was just "terminated".

I was contacted by these people after entering a raffle for a car at the Wachovia Center. It was pretty obvious that this was a scam. But I do think that the Wachovia Center should be more discriminating about who they let interact with their guests. These people were inside...in the Lobby...making people think that they were sanctioned bye the Center.

I was first suspicious of this company back in January. I showed up at the King of Prussia location after receiving a mailing, only to find the door open and every office in the suite totally cleared out. I called the 1-800 number on my card and was told that they were robbed the night before. I thought, yea right, this is a scam! I started doing some snooping and found letters from local people asking for their money back. I was kicking myself afterwards for not taking those letters and turning them over to the police or an investigation team, such as this one. However, I did call the police and was told that they were already under investigation. This was back in January. I also called the nice young girl back in Utah who booked my appointment and told her that the office was cleared out, and also about the letters that I had found. I told her that the police already had it under investigation. She said that her mother was also suspicious of her new job and wanted her to leave. She packed up and left that same day after gave her the number of the KOP police. About a day or two later, I went back to the King of Prussia office building to retrieve the letters that were left behind from unsuspecting victims, but they were gone and another man and his wife were working there setting up the same type of shop. I was saying that I thought it was a scam and he said that I should just leave. So, that was my experience. I hope the cops get those pigs for what they've done to honest, unsuspecting people. By the grace of God, I was spared!
