Poor guys, they probably hit a pothole causing them to lose control and crash. Not to worry, with all the "extra" revenue that the PA Turnpike is raking in with their 25% toll increase, they will have the problem fixed in no time..........NOT!!!!!!

The paper says the revenue is only up 11% from the 25% hike. Fewer vehicles are using it. The head of the Turnpike Commission Mitch Rubin is a target of a federal investigtion. His wife was convicted with Fumo.
What do you expect from aa bunch of political hacks?

The men were airlifted to Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia for treatment. Police said Sylla suffered "moderate" injuries and McCray had "major" injuries. Police said the men were eventually released.

How can you have "major" injuries and be released already ??

What do you expect when the tractor trailers go 75+ MPH? With all the accidents, you would think the state police would actually try to slow the traffic down.

Who said traffic goes only 75 mph? It's like a frickin' F-16 lane out there. NJTP got nothin' on NEX (Route 9...).

I'd bet Rubin is a Rendell appointee. Let's play connect the dots here. Political hacks, spending our dollars to pay back their friends.

Back on topic, it appears that driver incompetence, not speeding, was the issue here.

Everyone is driving 65 and over. Those obeying the speed law are in danger of being mowed down by a truck.

I hope so, the speed limit is 65.

Most of us are on the road to get somewhere.

No problems on the roads that are 70/75 speed limits here in the USA.

I have to agree with the speeding issue. I live in va, and travel the turnpike to visit my father. If you are not going 75mpr you are going to be mowed over. It's crazy!

If you are tired of the dangerous truckers (those who have utter contemp for PA highway laws/regulations) and the PSissyP or the PayoffSP, then lets do something about it.
