I'm glad to hear that the store owner was vindicated. How frustrating is it that American store owners are supposed to cater to people who refuse to learn the language of our country. Many people are not first generation immigrants. When their relatives arrived here, they chose not to learn the language.

It's time to make English the official language of our country, and learning to speak the language should be part of immigration reform!

has there ever even been an account of someone not ordering a cheesesteak in english at genos? no he just put that up as his hate for immigrants, but he himself was one. im guessing he wanted to show his pride for being american and did it in an ignorant manner. And no English should not be an "offical" language, diversity is what makes this place America, what brings people here.

you're an idiot

My family came here 50 years ago from Sicily, we learned English, and became "Americians" and we did it legally!!!! I'm proud to be an American, my children speak English, and Italian, there's a big difference coming to America, wanting everything it has to offer, but not wanting to be an "American" is puzzling to me? When in Rome you do as the Romans do, in America, we do what Americans do, and "Proudly"!
