I know someone personally who lost 70 lbs on the Smart for Life Diet in 4 months. His energy was thru the roof....for a guy who could not even walk a mile he now runs 5 miles a week at least. He is now on a modified program now that he has reached his goal weight......unbelievable. I think I am trying it

I just ordered 2 weeks worth of Dr. Siegals diet cookies & Vitamin supplements. I am super excited to get started.

Staci- You are supposed to eat 6 cookies per day if you order from (which is Dr. siegals site) he pre packages them in weekly boxes and there is a bag of the cookies for each day of the week. You eat them when ever you get hungry but you must eat all 6. Then for dinner you are to eat 6OZ of lean protein (Chicken, turkey, fish) and 2 cups of vegis. AND YOU HAVE TO DRINK WATER!!! I forget the recommended amout... five 8 oz glasses at least I think... I dont have a problem I drink enough water for 4 people... lol...

I have been on the diet and in just 3 days have lost 4 pounds. I am 171 pounds now and do work out daily and want to lose another 15-20 pounds.

Now for me I found out teh first day itself that teh cookies alone would not keep me satistfied along with water.

I modified the diet a little bit and eat a very light breakfast (south beach diet cereal), a light lunch and then a sensible dinner with the 6 cookies and plenty of water.

Eating just the 6 cookies made nos ense for me personally and I felt very weak.

Essentially I think teh working out will also help and I am religious about it.

You dont really need to join "smart for life"
Dr.Siegal stopped making cookies for them

go to and order them online
I started 191 and now am 184 after only 6 days
I have lost a total of 7 lbs!
im a true believer
the thing with this diet tho...
you have to want to lose weight...Its hard at first, but then you get use to it ESPECIALLY when you see the number in the scale get smaller and smaller
if you want to make the cookies taste a little better, get some fat free cool whipp(but dont over do it)

Definitely am going to look into this. Although, I am on 3 different medications, that have a side effect of weight gain. Maybe this will counteract that. My Dr. wants me to get the stomach surgery, and I will not do that. Heard too many horror stories from people who had it done.

I tried the Dr. Seigal's Diet Cookie and it really works for me. It was expensive tho’. I found a “generic” version of the cookie called the R and D Diet Cookie and it works just as well (better?)! And it’s a LOT cheaper! It took a couple of days to get used to just eating the cookies during the day. I wasn’t hungry (the cookies took care of that) it was more just getting used to not eating meals. After a couple of days I had to remind myself to eat a cookie! It was such a relief not to have to worry about “what to eat” all day long.
I don’t agree that losing weight the slow way is the best way for everyone. Slow doesn’t work for me. I would rather lose the weight quickly then worry about a maintenance program! I lost 10 pounds with Dr Seigals Cookie Diet and now I have lost 20 more with the R and D Diet Cookie. 10 more and I will be done!
