I am so proud of the residents of King for taking a stand..We have let one or two people tell us what we can do for to long..If the man didn't like it he could have chosen to turn his head. Keep up the good work Christian and other Believers.

IF they spent the money to purchase every resident in King a Christian Flag as opposed to giving it to an Attorney, I might be proud..However this is a Losing Game...The ONLY people that are going to benefit from this are the Attorneys..In fact most likely it was an Attorney that called and complained in the first place...Nothing like drumming up a little business.

Why is it that us as Christians keep quiet when non-Christans come down on us? We don't get ugly when we see non-Christan things going on in this world, but yet when one Christain event takes place people go crazy! I pray that each and everyone of you out there will take a stand and fight for WHO made this world and WHO is going to take you out of it and WHO takes care of your needs in in between! Stand beside the Lord and Savior of this land and pray that these city officals and other anti-Christans will see God's path and His will.

I vote that all of us who don't live in King fly a Christian flag in our yards in support for them, and in support for Christianity, I'm tired of these places like ACLU downing christianity and trying to bury God.. I'm going to go but my flag tomorrow in support of God and King NC....

Right there with you "know better"! It is like everything our forefathers worked for is being sent down the drain by the Civil Liberties Union. If these non Christians don't like the Christian flag, then they should be really sorry now that anything was said. Way to go King businesses...fly that Christian flag as proud as you do Old Glory! Bet most every Christian in and around King will be flying a Christian flag at their homes and businesses soon. Take that you troublemaker! By the way, God loves you too!

I guess I will just say it..The complainer wants to remain anonymous..Could it be because he's a coward that can't take the heat? The he should have kept his mouth shut and stayed out of the kitchen..You can run but you can't hide forever..I'm waiting for his name to be revealed and he is shunned. He's worried it will hurt his business? Well,, Boo Hoo. I've already ordered my flag and will fly it proudly..Thank you to all the men and women that served our country for us to have that privilage.

People in King are free to raise a Christian flag on their own property where it can be seen in public. They are also free to put a Christian flag on their private vehicles and ride around town. They are free to wear Christian t-shirts. They are free to make a sign and carry it around with them in the park. They are free to preach on any street corner. They are free to use there own private speech to do all these things. They are not free to use gov/public lands or funds to do so.

He's afraid for his business...he should be. The people of King is what keeps him in business. I say when we find out who it was... we boycott his business. AND the name/business WILL come out eventually. He syas he was raised a Christian but no longer is one...well that tells me he never was a one.

Lets buy a spot in the grave yard. We could then put a flag in our spot. I do not live in King but am willing to send in my money if this can be done.

The citizens and business are all going to be getting christian flags to fly. Thanks to all of the other surrounding counties who will be flying their also! "steve", as he likes to be called, had a choice if he wanted to see the christian flag at the momorial, but will not have a choice when he drives around King and the surrounding areas. A huge rally is being planned for October. The ACLJ said they would take the case if one of the council members or the mayor called them. Not all of the council members voted yes. Mr.Carter voted no. The other two were very upset over feeling like the ACLU was holding them hostage and voted yes to save the city money. The people, churches and vet groups are gearing up to take them on. Rock on King Cabin Hair Salon for putting your flags out!

I suppose you don't allow sinners in your Church either. A good christian would go and fight, not saying that the town was wrong at all for doing what they did. Wasn't it one woman who took prayer out of schools? There is no way the town of King could have won that case.
Now Stand Up for what you believe in, Get your Flag and your Friends, Go to this Memorial Daily and Flt 100's of Christian Flags. Or you could stay home and play on your computer and let the real believers do it for you. I am from Archdale and I will be visiting King this week, with a Christian Flag. Who knows, I may prop it against something at the Memorial and forget it it. It's the small things that count.
By the Way, God is there, if not he would not have directed me to comment on your post. He is expecting to see you there soon. So am I. Have a good Day.:)

According to Senator Burr, "1.5 million of our Nation's veterans live in poverty". Some of you are willing to waste time and effort on this issue when you know it has been tried hundreds of times before, and lost every time. Imagine what good this much energy, money, effort and commitment could do to help these Vets, and their families How much food, education, job training, housing, mental health care, could be acquired? Could it be that flag saving is more important than living Vets?

Pixie posted this on another site, but it makes sense to me.

If it's ok to fly one flag, then it has to be ok to fly them all. So, if the Christian flag goes back up, we need to add a flag for every other belief system out their as well, including the Church of Satan.

The best idea that has been said on this forum. The vets have been ignored by charity for too long. You can even read about the homeless vets that are on the streets because they lost it all after coming back from war. This flag has got more attention than a live vet ever has.
