The owner is listed as the City of King but the property was originally a private Farm that was donated to the city and can be just as easily donated or even sold back to a private entity for as little as a dollar and then this will solve the issue except for those that want to continue the fight with the Aclu...<quoted text>
According to Jay V Shore's blog:
"just went to the Stokes County GIS website, and looked up the property that the Veteranís Memorial Park in King, NC sits on.
Guess what? The owner is listed as CITY OF KING"
I think you two need to get together and hash this out cause you are contradicting each other. BTW who is the city of King

Most of what I did read here in the comments have nothing to do with the topic. It just validates just how "out of context" this thing is growing, it's grew so much that people are trying to relate it to everything to the point where everyone is judging one another..
I support the flag, I fly it in my yard. I don't care what other people think about it. I think it could be settled by a vote, just put it on the ballot, if the people of King NC want it there, they'll vote for it, or they can vote against it. I think things like this should be left up to the people in the cities or towns involved and everyone else stay out of it. Instead of someone standing on the courthouse steps hollerin "separation of church and state" just to get attention. I mean before ONE guy spoke out, did anyone else who's commented about it on these boards really care about it? It simply comes down to you don't tell me to make my grass greener and I won't tell you to plant flowers in your yard. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's no ones business but the people that live there. As far as our Country and how it relates to Christianity, I always think about the words of James Madison, our fourth President and he was known as "The Father Of Our Constitution", he said "We have staked the whole of all our political Institutions upon the capacity of mankind for Self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to The Ten Commandments of God." if thats not relating this country to some sort of religon of your own belief's, I don't know what is. Someone who doesn't believe in anything (like it appears with some here) don't need a flag don't reckon. Besides, the flag they are talking about here, I was brought up knowing it represented many religons, not just one. Both Protestant and some Non Protestant use this flag so I've always looked at it as the flag that represents your own belief no matter if it's Baptist, Luthern, Catholic, God, Jesus, Lord Savior, Budda, Ala, Whatever, he has many names but it's the same God and that is what MY flag represents....... Nuff Said.......

You do know there is no proof of heaven don't you? Thatta boy, you keep assuming there is a heaven, hell, jesus, god, devil, virgin birth, resurrection, and crucifixion with absolutely no evidence. You keep using absolutely no brain matter by following a mythical jesus. Babababa sheep.
