IT is not funny how one bad apple can spoil everyones FAITH, and make it hard on all faiths. IF it had been anyother faiths flag nothing would have been made of it.

WE ARE A COUNTRY OF AN ENORMOUS GROUP OF RELIGIONS. WITH THAT IN MIND, WE HAVE FREEDOM OF RELIGION,ALSO FREEDOM FROM RELIGION. TOO MANY BODIES ARE BURIED TOO PAY THE PRICE OF THIS FREEDOM.IF CERTAIN PEOPLE FIND IT DISTASTEFUL TOO SEE A RELIGIOUS FLAG FLYING, MY HEART GOES OUT TO THEM.SURELY THEY DON'T REALIZE HOW MANY BLIND AND BLINDED PERSONS WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO SEE THESE FLAGS.
MY THOUGHTS ARE DID THEY ASK THE COUNCIL, IF IT WOULD PROHIBIT THEM FROM FLYING THEIR FLAG OF CHOICE. PERSONALLY I FIND THEIR ACTIONS AS COWARDICE AND TREASONOUS.IF THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY REPRESENT THE MAJORITY, I PERSONALLY DARE THEM TO MAKE THEIR NAMES PUBLIC AND FLY THEIR FLAGS OF CHOICE ON THEIR PROPERTY. IF THEY HAVE THE ''GUTS''

I think the person who complained is really going to get upset that one flag came down and dozens went up. We do live in the Bible belt. In our community, King, people dont ask "do you go to church?", they ask "where do you go to church", we are a community of Christians, we as believers in Christ will stand up and be proud to fly the Christian flag. Go to Carroll memorials in King to get your flag.

Really? I could say the same for the people of the ACLU and the person who called them.
to begin with. They are the ones who are worried about a flag that is flying over a memorial for the men and women who died fighting for that very right.

Those soldiers did not fight for the right to fly religious flags on government property. It is against the law to do so. They fought for religious freedom to go to the the church, synagogue, mosque, temple as the they believe. Display your religious flag at your home or business as you see fit. That is your right and freedom. But please don't force your religon on others on government sites. This is not so hard to understand is it?

Go back and read a little about the founding fathers of this country and the constitution and tell what what is so hard to understand about that.

The founding fathers and authors of the Declaration of Independence Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, were both Deists if not outright atheists. It was Thomas Jefferson who coined the phrase "separation of church and state". Many of our founding fathers believed in this separation of church and state because they fled the tyranny of religious states in other countries. You do know this don't you?

“Separation of Church and State” is a catch phrase
Here is a request that has not adequately been answered!

I wish one of these great thinkers would provide a ratified US document that uses the words “Separation of Church and State”. Not a letter, an interpretation, or a ruling, but a ratified document. Then we can talk about what to uphold.

Without “prohibiting the free exercise of religion, or abridging the freedom of speech”, can a government consisting of “We the people” truly ‘separate’ from religious faiths? Was the first amendments intent to remove all religious influence from government (or in our case the public square) or about removing all government influence from religion i.e.‘Government controlled Religions’?

Next they will want to prohibit people of faith from seeking public office.

Good. Please get the town council to the flag put back up. Then let the ACLU come in and king into court. King and its christians will spend$ 3-400,000 to go to court. King will lose. Christians will be so upset. Of course this means you can only display your christianity on your homes, cars, churches, self, prayer with clasmatess in huddles, schools, churches, streets, restaurants, parks, etc. Christians will really be deprived. They are losing all their rights when they don't get to force their flag up on government property. How will christianity survive with all of this deprivation?

You know I have read the same BS pitched under different 'names'. It is like they are all using one mind. And its a few bricks shy. There are private individuals and organizations ready to provide the needed finances to buy out any public interest or go to court if needed. Comments like these are just fear mongering hoping to sway someone against from doing what the majority knows is right. This is unfounded speculation and fear mongering.

EVERYONE should be able to display their religious flag at this site, not just Christians. Limiting the religious views/expression of others is ANTI-AMERICAN. The council should never have taken the Christian Flag down, rather they should have let EVERYONE put theirs up in the first place.
