Is the entire VFW closed or just the Ladies Aux been revoked?
As far as the president picture Obamam had never had his picture displayed during the past 4 years. No one complained. Now someone has decided to display it
Several members object and it causes problems.
One of the cardinal rules is clubs and bars is to never argue religion or politics ... Bad move to cause division within our membership when we are already losing members,

The last posting just reaffirmed why I am not interested in joining the local VFW, although well qualified, due to my nineteen months in the Republic of Vietnam, serving our great nation with the 1st Aviation Brigade.

One thing that is drilled into the heads of all service members is, you do not have to respect the man, but you must respect the rank.

I did not vote for the President, but he is the Commander and Chief. If the local service organizations can not display the current chain of command, because it "causes problems", I will just pass on the VFW and continue to support the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Ladies Auxiliary has been suspended until further training can be provided, it has not been shut down and certainly the charter has not been revoked, your Mom must be proud of your slander, do you talk to her with the same mouth that spews such awful lies?

It seems everywhere Sandy Kennedy shows up in a Vet organisation, all of a sudden there is a problem with the organization or with the Auxiliary. Look at all the problems she caused at the Legion until they got rid of her. Guess who is the problem?

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary are having their regular scheduled meeting February 14h at 7:00pm. If you are a auxiliary member, please attend and we will all find out together what the 60 day suspension means. If you would like to join I think that would be great. The VFW is open and operating business as usual everyday. Sandra Kennedy, Ladies Auxiliary Secretary.

From my many years of Assocation with the V and American, the ladies Aux. is the back bone of activities and support. It's people like Sandy Taylor who give of thier time to help make it possible.
For those who like to throw rocks, criticize and spread rumors, why don't you join them and help make things better?

From my view, as a long time member of the American Legion and VFW, the ladies Aux have been the back bone of many events within the Post.
This is what an auxiliary does, lend backing and support
It is members like Sandy Taylor who are willing to take the lead and work with the members of the post and aux. for the common good of all,

To those of you who have nothing better to do than to critic, throw stones and spread rumors, why don't you do something useful like get involved with the good works they do. Help bring about positive change,

So what you are saying is, becuase of a couple of degenerate drunks in a bar talk of things they know nothing about, makes you not interested in joining an organization that was formed to serve you? Just another reason America is a failing society.....

As it goes with any local establishment, there are regular patrons and occasional patron. Some are just plain bad apples. These "bad apples" don't just visit the VFW, they are members of ALL clubs in town. I do agree with you that we should all respect the position, regardless of whom holds it.

BTW: Thank you for your service. I too have served our country but..... Gloating about how "qualified" you believe youself to be for any organization designed to serve doesn't put you above it. Your demeanor is tacky.

From a fellow "qualified" Veteran.

Great use of a "reputable source" to base your opinion from. This article is entirely false and it was fairly easy to spot, if you aren't weak minded. Grammatical errors galore, no reference material and nothing but hate in the comments.

You should pat yourself on the back for assisting in the demise of a Veteran's organization, you facist.

Did you happen to click a link from a white power website to find this article?

Thank you for your service. The Nation VFW is a great, my complaint is with the local "club". The posting gave the impression the members of the VFW shared the opinion or would give in to, what you describe as, "couple bad apples". My opinion is; show them the door. The local can run it's club however the members and their commander wants it to be run. My point is, it is not for me. Not just because of their opinions concerning the President, but I am not interested in hanging around in a bar, listening to a bunch of malcontents. You got a program to help our young people coming home. Sign me up.

As far as gloating, you may have a point and I will take that criticism from another veteran, qualified or not.

I don't think being proud of one's service to our Country would or should be considered "gloating". And I certainly wouldn't consider this man's words or demeanor to be tacky.

Thank both of you for your service.
